I can't thank you enough for the flash curing tip. I recently just started doing my own gel x nails at home. When I went to flash cure my first nail, I was NOT expecting it to burn like it did. I hadn't heard any of the tutorials I watched mention it either. It burned to the point I was considering not doing the rest of my nails, but I powered through it. I'm just grateful someone else pointed it out and it's not just me being allergic to gel.

These are stunning. Quick hack btw, to avoid chrome powder getting on the rest of the nail use a non-wipe top coat before applying the frenchies. I’m so excited for more nail videos
it would have to be a matte non wipe top coat! I use normal top coat to determine where the chrome sticks to, but it doesnt stick to the matte

Just for reference - when I use primer on the inside of the gel extension I find the nails pop off quicker? It could be because I was etching the nail AND using primer together, maybe you only need to do 1. But I find that it lasts longer with just etching it, that’s my experience with it

Your nails look so cute! One question, you rubbed the chrome straight on the sticky layer of the cured gel polish? I thought it HAD to go over a no wipe top coat!?
She cured but left the sticky part on it

do you find that the apres sensitive extend gel helps prevent gel allergy reactions? I recently developed a gel allergy but I miss the long nails so much haha
The allergy typically comes from not during your gel enough. The solution is to buy a higher watts lamp and ensure you’ve cured it enough!

Apres is French and it’s pronounced Ah-prey. Just a little pronunciation school 😂 no but really I just have seen so many say it incorrectly so I wanted to just let you know how it’s really said! :) love your vids and your nails! I also do my own nails and LOVE gel-x

you don't, you soak them and take them off carefully with acetone or a gel remover
How long do you etch the nails for?

what’s a heat spike?
It's a hot sensation one can get when using gel. It can happen when curing it under the lamp. At times, there's gel on the skin, or too much gel on the nail causing it, but not always.
If it happens, quickly take your nsil/hand in and out of the lamp til it stops.

It's a builder gel on a bottle really, but it works as a nail glue, yes
