Actually that "Goomba" enemy isn't a "Goomba". It's actually called "Goombo" which makes Pirahna Plant the only enemy in this game that was in other mario games before this game. This also marks Pirahana Plant as the only enemy in this game that is seen in other mario games as all of the other enemies in this game are never seen again, well only a few of them but they only appear as trophies and images for mario gallery games or to view enemies so it isn't a major appearance.
It's a shame the Game Boy did not have the color technology back then but it would have been way too expensive if it had this is how they would have made it
Seriously Daisy needs to come back into the proper Mario games. You're always exploring the Mushroom Kingdom in the Mario games, so exploring Sarasaland is viable. It seems to have interesting and varied terrain anyway, with lots and lots of ruins. That way you can play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy in the 4 player, instead of a Toad.
Supperdude9 I agree, but I think part of the reason we don’t see her that much is because Shigeru Miyamoto didn’t create Daisy or Super Mario Land and he’s basically in charge of the Mario games, so my guess is that he doesn’t really think about her that much when making a new Mario game. If the person who created Daisy and Super Mario Land was still alive(I can’t remember his name) and with Nintendo, I think we’d see a lot more of Daisy

A very good game... I think Nintendo should remake this classic game, along with Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. But I also like the 8-bit style, with or without color, and the new sprites. I've already downloaded the rom, and it sure feels the nostalgia, because I've played the game when I was a kid... good times...

Super mario land should be remaked with luigi, like how the princess is daisy, a tiny bit of absurdity or the obsecure feeling that the mario land series gives, plus i think the super ball can be a luigi special theme Plus it can give a chance for a waluigi boss that uses a tennis to defend and attack I really find it super cool to have that as a game
The best remastering perfomance i've ever seen for the game. It respects the game and maintain its beauty without stupid "better graphics" or "music remixes" additions. Good graphics does not mean good game.
He is skipping as much as possible. When we played it as kids we killed every baddie, grabbed every coin; we wanted to suck every little secret and moment of combat out of the game.

I like how when a voice cuts out for a sound to play it instantly comes back after the sound finishes playing, unlike the nes where it takes a couple seconds

playing this as a kid, and never being able to beat it, can really mess you up in the head when you can't explain Daisy's transformations to yourself except if *she's not actually human*
So in my headcanon, I’d like to imagine that it was Princess Toadstool (Peach) who requested Mario to go to Sarahasa Land and save Princess Daisy since it’s an alley to the Mushroom Kingdom as well as Peach & Daisy being childhood friends. This color remake of SML is excellent BTW. Please play it.
Why are the character sprites different? Putting that aside, I wonder why this never got a colored remaster on the GameBoy Color, but Zelda: Link's Awakening did.
Can there be another remake where all of the sprites are left intact. I don't mind the game being in color, but I want a raw color version where they match the colors here, but with the same exact sprites. Not that I don't think this is well done, because it's great. I'd just prefer that kind of variation.
