    Thank you! This video is very informative and helpful for when my husband and I plan to move to Tucson. We definitely plan to rent first and buy a house when we have enough money saved up and a better feeling for the city.

    I’m moving to Tucson in the next couple of weeks and I’m so excited! Finding a place to live, I’ve learned, is pretty complicated. This video is so helpful! Do any Tucsonians have any extra recommendations?

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My biggest advice to everyone is always to really explore the city before you find a permanent place to live. Also try to live as close as you can to the places you will be frequenting the most 👍

    Thank you for another helpful video, Kimberly!!! I am planning on moving to Tucson in a few months and was wondering how easy is it to bike in the downtown area outside of the loop and whether it is feasible to bike during the summer when it's around 100 degrees out. Thanks again!

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am honestly not a cyclist but I can tell you that cycling first thing in the morning and even end of day in the summer, you should be fine. Midday it would be very hot unless everywhere you’re riding is in shade. Bring water when biking-especially in the summer. I know people cycle downtown a lot but to me it seems very congested especially during business hours Monday-Friday and to me it would just be too chaotic to cycle around downtown, but If that’s your means of transportation then you may end up getting around more easily than a car driving downtown! Driving downtown is probably worse! 😆 thanks for checking out the channel!

      @russellscott81299 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've lived in Tucson. Biking is very dangerous in the city. I have never in my life seen so many pedestrian deaths in a city. Every day someone is hit and killed walking or biking. Lots and lots of theft issues. Cars and homes broken into all the time. Tucson is not a nice city. regardless of what people keep saying.

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure your price range but the suburbs are still very reasonably priced, especially Sahuarita, Vail, and Marana, and depending on what subdivision you purchase in, the homes are often a lot newer there than in the city. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about real estate here

      They do have student housing in Tucson, but I’m actually not sure what the rules or qualifications are. If you contact Pima community college, I’m sure they will have information for you. They might even have a department that specializes in helping incoming students find housing. Good luck to you!

    Thoughts on The Seasons student apartment complex? North of UoA Campus and SW of Catalina Foothills

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, unfortunately I don’t have any personal experience with these apartments so I can’t speak about them other than what I have read in reviews and online. I will say that the location is pretty good, (Close to just about everything, including easy access to the university), and the amenities seem amazing so if you are planning on using everything provided at the apartment complex, it might be a good deal, although the University also has some of those same amenities. Have you been able to do a tour of the apartments yet? That would probably be your best bet to see if it would be a good fit.

    from looking at that website prices in Tucson are the same as Phoenix for apartment rentals

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t speak to the rental prices in Phoenix versus Tucson since I don’t work in the Phoenix market… Housing prices for homes to purchase are certainly higher in Phoenix so I would assume that rental prices are also, but maybe they are the same… There are certainly areas of Phoenix that are less expensive to live in than others, and those might be the same rental prices as some of the more expensive places to rent in Tucson. Thanks for the view and comment!

    I have done some intense research for two weeks back in September 2020. Since I will work part time perhaps at the Botanical gardens. I would need a mid price one or two bedroom apartment on the east side along and beyond Craycroft and Wilmont Rd onward. Areas like Tierra del Sol, Broadway NE, East Old Spanish Trail for prices between $750-$1,050 monthly. I know not to be close to Campus. Areas on North Campbell road have more congestion with smaller apartments and less comfortable for a retiree.
