I am now looking at a Dremel Type Tool with a rotary shaft and some type of cut off blades! DANG! You have to be a contortionist to even be able to close to work under that thing!
My wifes 2012 Denali doesn't have a cabin air filter, WTF? I spent like an hour looking through vids, going back out to the garage until finally I found this vid that showed how her's is. This is BS. Good vid.
2012 GMC Sierra 1500 is the same. You cannot replace the cabin air filter without all that work and service departments don't want to do it either. (Although they may tell you they 'checked' it.
Was going to change the cabin filter on my 2012 Silverado spent 2 hours only to find out my pickup has no way to retrofit this just put it all back together and forget about it.
Will this allow a filter air flow from the outside as well or is this only going to fix recirculating air? Sorry if it’s a dumb question… I’ve noticed a bad mold shit smell only when ac is on and I’m wondering if this will fix the issue?!
@@bradleyshaw8084 they make a disinfectant that you spray outside by your wipers where air gets pulled in for your climate control. roll your windows down, turn your air up and your good.
I'm going to use my dremel w a cutting tool but keep the back tab attached, duct tape if I have to because I don't want to buy that stupid retro piece.

the Dorman filter kit had door and screw to close it up. kit has everything you need. Thanks

Great instructions, I am not going to do it.. to much bullshit and i'm to old to bend down and do this.
it took me like 15 seconds to buzz this out with an angle grinder with a diamond blade on it.
