I want to see a prank where we put up a prank where they say “due to inflation Disney will start charging an add-on fee per ride for certain popular rides at Disney and Peter Pan’s Flight and we will make it $99.99 per single ride at Peter Pan’s Flight lol.. we will say it’s due to inflation … and instruct staff to say dude it’s all about supply and demand …
Next, we will have pretend customers who never paid the $99.99 pretend they did and TONS of them and persuade the others that it’s a 4-hour line to get on the ride
Lastly, we will have an announcement that ladies and gents due to overcrowding and long waits the ride has some malfunctions and some of the normal special effects have been turned off , we apologize for the inconvenience, also we are running at 50% capacity as some ride cars have become disabled due to new internal safety and security inspections for your safety and enjoyment of the ride.
To compensate for this inconvenience we will be handing out prizes which include a blow pop LolIipop or a Sesame Street Apple juice box… Also to save money on the ride to keep costs from rising further they talk about making the ride cheaper by not having the car move And instead you stand and watch a screen after waiting for hours and paying $100 to head over and over again in a dark room “you can fly you can fly you can fly you can fly you can flyyyy. You can fly …. With sounds of babies crying for mommy’s milk over the you can flyyyyyy bored restless

I know the big problem with Peter Pan's Flight in Orlando, it would be the location. It is across from Small World. It is also a kind of Bottleneck in the park as well. And with it attracting over 100-minute cue lines, mainly to accommodate Fast Pass, because of traffic slowdown in that part of the park, I agree it is a bit overrated. But that's just my POV. I've been on it once, and it really isn't as impressive as Haunted Mansion or Pirates.

I was actually scared of this ride when I was really young. I'm pretty sure it had to do with the illusion of being high in the sky and the ride being dark. Also I don't think it's worth it if you're an annual passholder or visit very often especially if you've ridden it before (but if it's your first time visiting you should go on it for the experience I guess) but it is a classic nonetheless. It could also be worthwhile if you have a fast pass or Guest Assistance Pass/ Disability Access Service Card which is what I have and use whenever I go.

As awesome as the que is, waiting in such a long line is so not worth it for a 2 min ride. It’s beautiful, love the soundtrack, so neat but could they have maybe made it longer? Also, I believe a huge reason why the wait time is so long is due to the breakdowns the ride always go through. All in all, I’ve said the same things you have said but am forever grateful for the beautiful, timeless ride.

The first time I went to Disneyland, the ride was closed for renovation. When it finally opened, the wait time was like 40-70 minutes. After the ride, my brother and sister, (who had gone to the ride before,) said nothing changed. They also noticed how the ride was shorter and most of the ride revolved around the flying scene. We have never gone back to Peter Pan since.

Have you used the Play Disney app when in line there? It has Peter Pan themed games to play while in the line, hidden objects to find in and around the queue, and an interactive Tinkerbell lantern prop toward the end of the line that you can trigger with the app. It makes the line seem super short and fun. I highly recommend it!

I've been to Disneyland over 3 periods of time in my life so far. Once when I was around 8, once my Sophomore year in HS, and most recently for the honeymoon trip with my wife. I swear the wait times between cart release on those dark rides and Pirates have been shaved down to the barest minimums. I didn't recall being so close to other airships in Peter Pan, but that could be 30+ years of memory storage issues on top of tiny person perspective. I KNOW we weren't bumping into other boats in Pirates nearly as often though.

I very much agree! While I love this ride for all the same reasons as you mentioned, I absolutely hate waiting in that line. It's so cramped. I went on this ride shortly before they closed in March and someone had vomited all over the outside part of the line making it extremely difficult to maneuver and reroute us. In the end though, I think lines are all going to change at Disneyland-- especially this one which you're forced to be in other people's space. Crossing my fingers that they just do a virtual queue for all these.

bigevilworldwide1 I completely disagree with everything you said. We have completely different opinions about this ride. Even when I am on a solo day I always enjoy Peter Pan. It is my happy place within my happy place. I also go once a month, always ride Peter Pan at least once, and never stand in line longer than 20 min - often less.

My fiance over the past three years has joined my family's annual trip to Disney World. Last trip he asked me why we never go on peter pan I just dont think its worth the wait, explained to him the premise of the ride. He convinced me he wanted to wait 40 minutes to experience something new, that HAS to be good if the line is always so long. we finished the ride and he was so confused why an average ride has the wait time of space mountain.

I have to agree with you. I’m from the UK, so my local Disney park is Paris, and when I went last year December time the line was always 90 minutes long, from the morning to the end of the day. They also have outside queue like DisneyLand, so it’s fun waiting in the rain. Still love the ride and have to go on it every time I go.

  • @Vikstarararaahah
    @Vikstarararaahah 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Totally agree!! Absolutely adore the ride, it brings such an amazing feeling of magic when you go on it, but I just can’t justify waiting that long for two minutes lmaooo. It’s exactly the same in Paris, always seems to be between 40-60 mins, and most of the queue is outside.

I used to frequent Disneyland Paris, and plan to continue doing that, and this ride is a problem there too. I love the ride, but there’s consistent 50+ minute wait times, so I rarely ride it. It has the same queueing problems as the one you spoke about!

The ride is always worth the wait. Few rides immerse you and capture you childhood memories as thoroughly as Peter Pan, visually, the characters and ride flow is cinematic. The music, perfectly timed. This ride captures simple wide eyed smiles more than anything in the parks. I’m 65, and I’ll ride this till I’m 100 because I know it will forever recapture my youth.

Have you seen the hidden items in the woodgrain once you get" inside" the building? I adore this ride and I like your channel so I watched even though I disagree with you. Before the app officially dropped that I heard helps keep people entertained in line I was anxiously waiting to get on Peter Pan's flight and I suddenly saw an acorn in the post next to me. Then I found a teddy bear and Nana's doghouse and up in the rafters the jolly roger. I was thrilled and wracking my brain to figure out how I hadn't noticed them before. The line then became this fun scavenger hunt for my family. When I got up to the cast member seating us I asked about the hidden shapes and he said I was the first one to notice and they were recent. Those details are part of what keeps me coming back to Disney

My husband and I hopped in line for this at 10 minutes to close. My family and I would always make a plan on which line to get in at 10 minutes to close. Usually it is one of the "big" rides, but this particular visit was only one day at the park and for nostalgia reasons I wanted my husband to experience one of my family favorites. I noticed very quickly that the ride was sped up considerably. We seemed to be flying through it much faster and the music seemed sped up. Has anyone else ever noticed any rides being sped up at the end of the night? It's totally understandable, but I thought it was interesting. Long story short I kinda wished we had used that last 10 minutes for another ride on Thunder Mountain.

The flying effect is what make this ride absolutely amazing and worth the wait. Plus in Magic Kingdom, half the line is spent in the coolest interactive waiting area in the park. It’s all-in-all one of the best Disney experiences, arguably up there with Haunted Mansion and Pirates.

Peter Pan and Inner Space are the rides that hold the most childhood nostalgia for me. So wasting 40 minutes, every once in a while, to get to travel back in time, even just for 2 minutes...it's a small price to pay...for me. But, yes, that line can be rough...The sad thing is, even the line kind of makes me nostalgic.

OMG yes, I really really wish that they would add to this ride an INDOOR waiting queue. 2 years ago, when I was there with my husband on our honeymoon, we were waiting for this ride at around 3pm, on the 4th of July. It was STEAMING outside. And we had just eaten burritos and margaritas in Downtown Disney about an hour before. The horrible combination of direct sunlight and alcohol made us cut out of line early to take a LONG nap in our hotel room to recover. I really think that some amount of a/c or shade would have helped!! xD

It’s not the greatest ride, but I do have an interesting memory. About 10 years ago, when my family still had a set of annual passes... my mom’s purse fell out towards the end of the ride, during a turn. I think after informing the CMs they let us go on again to spot the purse. They actually closed the ride down (close to end of day I guess) temporarily to retrieve it, which was plainly in sight from the ride! Dunno if this is normal, but yeah I recommend holding onto your belongings even on children’s rides. I was a kid so it seemed crazy to me

I've only been to Disneyland in Feb-Mar, and hardly ever had to stand in line for anything, so I love this ride, it's kinda magic in it's own way, and since it was one of my fav's from when I was a kid in the 70's, it became so again when I brought my daughters and it was their favorite of the classic rides as well

We'll typically only ride it with a fast pass because the wait time in WDW is often over an hour. Not worth that long of a wait. But...was happy that they did do just what you suggested and redid the queue to make it more interactive and nicer to look at.

  • @szolfy

I went to Disneyland Paris in February this year, the wait was just over 1 hour for this ride. The queue sounds similar to Disneyland.. A lot of outdoors and when you get inside not much to entertain you. I hadn't been to a Disney park since I was in my late teens (now 37)so I was just happy to be there & wanted to go on everything!! I do love the ride though, even if it is too short.

When I had an annual pass to WDW, I went on Peter Pan once. I stood in line twice (left once for a bathroom break). But I don't think the ride is worth that ride. I know lots of people like it, so I don't judge. Just not a fan. I can ride Jungle Cruise twice in that time.

I 100% agree! I really only visit WDW and our wait times are almost always double what Disneyland’s are. I’ve only gone on Peter Pan’s Flight like 5 times despite going to the park itself about 20 times since our line averages closer to an hour. The ride is absolutely lovely and the interactive queue is pretty fun, but the wait STILL never feels worth it.

is the Jumpin’ Jellyfish ride still gonna be there once they build the Marvel section at DCA? I was under the impression that was gonna replace A Bug’s Land completely.
anyway for the record I totally think the wait time is disproportionate to the enjoyment that comes from the ride. the line generally offsets any enjoyment I would get from the ride itself. you’d think they would be making huge park updates/renovations while they’re closed and guests aren’t in the way, but I guess construction crews have to socially distance too.

  • @JosephDavies

I agree. I love this ride, but rarely go on it because the line is simply not worth it for most visits. I suspect that being so near the entry for Fantasyland has an effect, which is also why Mr. Toad often fares slightly better with its wait-time despite the lower guests-per-hour due to having a less well-placed entrance.
Great video. Nothing wrong with having an opinion on something that could be improved; making the queue more efficient or entertaining would only help an already-great ride become better.
