One of the many songs that I used to listen to on my transistor pocket radio. I had to hide it under my pillow and listen to it at night with ear phones. Yeah, I lived in a VERY strict home. The music was my escape. When I was 18, I packed a bag. Took my guitar and drove away in my '77 Camaro.
I’m in a nasty storm in Gulf Shores, Alabama and jamming along with you! I’m sure we’re all at least singing along! Gonna shine tonight, make her mine tonight...all that. Thanks for another classy one! Cheers!
Thanks for this very illustrative tutorial. Love that melody and the way you show the details that make this song flowing along. Perfect - all of your listeners wherever you`ll play will be amazed. Rock on, mate.
@@jamesjames9275 Yes, I'm having a hard time remembering this song in it. I remember the dude falsely suggesting side 2 of Zep IV while "Kashmir" played. Maybe not "falsely", just confusing at that moment.
what a great episode. never thought of learning this one. I always think that I want to learn Boulevard because of that incredible Strat tone in the beginning. Anyway - You are the best You on TH-cam!!!
very good.. i happen to be exacly at this point in my guitar journey....as you said.. if you get this song...you have done something...you become a silid intermediate with the tools to progress to whatever is better than intermediate 😅
Just what I needed, thanks again! I really appreciate you putting all these lessons on the web for people like me......just great! If you knew my background, you'd know your making a difference. Thanks....
Hey JJ Long time watcher and listener You got me when you said if you get this down you’ve achieved something... So I got it down! Taken a couple weeks but so much fun!!! Guess I’m a stage 2 player now! Thank You Nick Red Hill Australia
@@jamesjames9275 It's great! What did that run you? I've seen a lot of your videos...first time I've seen it, I'll have to go back. I've turned my 2004 Mexican Strat into a Keith Open G 'El Shbarcaster'. One of the many stickers on the El Shbarcaster is the 'Rocky' guitar. El Shbar is the name of our pool bar out back...it's half shed half bar. BTW your Page dragon guitar sounds and looks great as well. I've visited Reverb a bunch of times on your recommendation. Keep up the good work JJ, and stay safe...always enjoyed both of your channels. Peace, RT
I already play JJ roulette, but I may ramp it up to a JJ challenge and learn every song he does. Knocked out 867-5309 and All the Young Dudes, among scores of others. Best advice (or admonition, depending on how you look at it): learn the song the whole way through!
Always appreciate your explainations, great learning from you. I know you say you play through a peavey vypyr 100, do you use the sanpera pedal , either the sanpera 1 or 2? And switch sounds while playing.
I got sad when I found out privitticker was finished, then I found this one. Nice. What did guitar did you use in the Soul Sacrifice video back on the old channel?
Love the guitar Even though it looks weird I wanted it. A big part is that it was George Harrison's guitar rocky Or just made myself look like an idiot

There's no song I love more than this one! I'm a huge fan of Jackson Browne!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High baby!!!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a surprisingly good movie, not just a dumb teen comedy like Porky's or something like that.
Great song, even better sweater!
Only video that I’ve found to break down the double stop run on the B/G strings. Thank you.
Really enjoying playing this.. fun tune. Thanks
Awesome.....that guitar makes me hungry for some reason.
Classic tune; never gets old. Thanks for the tutorial.
Nice lesson. Thanks for sharing.
Great song choice; great lesson! Thanks!

Thanks, James. Great lesson, as usual.
Like the first lesson so much, very nice addition. please sir may we have more?
James James thanks for another classic, and for motivating me to take my Strat out. I’ve been neglecting Brownie
Rocky's back! I had thought you got rid of her! Great sound, cool unique paintjob, I love your replica! So glad you've still got it!

Thanks for the lesson Privettricker. Yes, I remember your true identity.
I hope you are well mate. Looking forward to seeing you back soon. Take care 🙏
Top Man!
My old man's a television repairman, he's got the ultimate set of tools. I can fix it...I can fix it.
Damn! Great tune...and didn't know you had the Harrison 'Rocky' guitar!?!? ....that's sweet!
I've played in on a bunch of videos, but hadn't pulled it out of the case in a few months.

It s definitely playing weather
One more comment while I'm here. The color combination between your guitar and jersey is choice.
Woo-Hoo! Fast Times Criterion just released! Well, pre-order.
Hey...that's Rocky!
Is that a George Harrison guitar, and a Terry Kath jersey?
Nice Hawks Sweater!
Its a bit on the chilly side down here in the lone star state
It says Ron Johnson stereo consultant.....how about the point
Can you play the piano?
No.
@@jamesjames9275 Why not ? I hear many musicians saying it enhances ones abilities to play another instrument. What about the glockenspiel ?
@@alanmcclelland5245 There are a lot of reasons I don't play the piano, but the main one is that I don't want to.
Wow, 4 licks is it for this song. Thank you! Intro needs open high e on the A chord to complete the melody in my opinion.
