    Great work figuring out the issue with bleeding the rear caliper, my M796 had the same problem and the rear brake was not engaging at all. Just took the caliper off, hung it up, bled the brake and bam, just like new.

    Would love to see a quick video on your vlogging setup... Your sound is really really good! Can hear both you and the bike clearly. Few videos pull that off as well.

    Thanks so much for the video, I just bought one in Black and pick it up tomorrow. Have not even ridden it yet. Thanks to your vid, I know what to expect! Just like you I was looking for anything online... Burnouts, wheelies, etc... Yours is the best! Looking forward to more videos!

      I've got a few, Started on an FZR-400 then a CBR-600F3, Both long gone. Now, I have a Royal Enfield G5, Yamaha Warrior, 2014 Goldwing... None of which can wheelie. Looking for a bike I can really enjoy in the twisties and something that can get the front wheel off the ground! haha Looks like I've found it. Like you I just had the opportunity fall into my lap and could not pass up the smoking good deal. I'm sure I'll get some videos online too shortly. Thanks again.

      tascam dr-05, ecm-cs3 mic - movo ws4 windscreen muff trimmed down a lot fit into front of ls2 helmet, gopro hero 4 on helmet, session4 on windscreen facing me, and some fancy audio editing on adobe premiere. I have since sold the bike but I also recorded and exhaust video i just haven't gotten around to making it

    Great video. I have the '13 Diesel version of your bike and love it. Had exact issue with rear brake and forum helped me with the "caliper flip" method you used. I'm in Clearwater, FL ... looks like you are further South. Looking forward to more vids on the 1100.

      @@danielgielchinsky6951 yeah, it's not a diesel engine. I think it's a designer line for diesel clothing Co.
      The Diesel edition was released in this shiny olive drab color scheme with a Brite yellow front caliper.

    I've been looking around for a bit more torquey bike than my current CB600 and was looking at the new KTM 790 duke as an alternative but it seems like they cheaped out on a lot of stuff and honestly this bike might be better in all aspects. It's lighter, has the same horsepower figure, has over 10 ft lbs more torque, comes with a slipper clutch with brembo brakes and master cylinders to match. I think I'm getting sold on this bike, how reliable has it been for you over the years?

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I sold it 4 months after buying it so I had some extra cash while I was moving out of state. Dunno about reliability

  • @T0BBi94

    Great video! Do you know if there is any difference between the 2011 and 2012 models? Most spec sites show that there is no difference between the 2011-2013 but it looks like the engine covers are different and some have under-tail exhaust while some dont.
    Ever since I test rode the new Monster 1200S -18 I have been in love with the Monster but its to expensive and the 1100 EVO is about half the price and in some aspects better looking than the new bike.

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks I'm not sure of the difference but I think the 821 newer model(water cooled) makes the same power just slightly different sound

    • @T0BBi94
      @T0BBi94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NoWayJoey Yeah, the newer models have insane numbers! But you dont get the single sided swing or under-tail exhaust. When I rode the 1200S I firmly thought that no one would nver think that 150Hp is not enough for the street. How did you feel about the ~100Hp of the Evo? In my mind it would still be plenty and then some, or did you feel that you ever wanted more?
      Btw, thanks for answering, might just pick up a 1100 Evo for next season, for some reason it has really low insurance compared to similarly spec bikes.

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 1100 has a lot of usable torque so around town it's great however after 85mph it did pull a lot less. It easily pulls the wheel up in 1st, in 2nd you have to work for it to power wheelie it but it's not lacking in power around town. Out of all the bikes I've owned it felt special when riding it. I got the most compliments when riding this 1100 compared to my drz400sm or my cbr600rr.

    I own a 2009 1100 , love it sounds awesome , brakes superb handling is great , my only gripes , it hates doing 30 mph or 40 mph which here in England is our regulation town % city speeds . Its so lumpy crying out to twist the throttle . Secondly the seat , its a torture chamber I feel I have to wrap my nuts in cotton wool before I get on it ! Other than that it's perfect 😁

      @@lordmuller563 terrible idea. Start on something small. I see this all the time. I know when you’re starting out big bikes have massive appeal, but you’ll be a way better rider if you work your way up to it.
      It’s also more than likely you’ll have a spill or two on your first bike. Expensive bikes are expensive to repair

      What sort of milage do you get from a tank full?

  • @krispewkrem3
    @krispewkrem3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve kinda always wanted a Ducati. But when the MT-07 exists, it’s hard to justify a air cooled, 2 valve bine that’s obviously going to cost more for maintenance.
    Especially considering how well the MT does as a stunt bike. Can’t say I’ve seen too many Ducati stunt bikes.

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I would say the ducati is a niche bike it definitely sounds better than a mt07 but I wouldn't stunt this, the tank is shaped in a way it kicks you in the nuts if you come down from a wheelie to hard, also it feels like the front wheel is behind the forks (exaggeration)

    thinking of trading my 2011 cbr600rr for the monster 1100 anniversary. would you say it feels like an upgrade in terms of speed or anything?

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryan Howe the monster 1100 is easier to get up to 40mph however after 40mph the CBR is faster. the CBR is super committed seating position. I enjoy both the CBR and the monster but because the monster was easier to get onto power and more upright it's more fun to me. I am selling this one if your interested

      @@NoWayJoey i am considering one. Anything to watch out for? What did you replace with?

    • @NoWayJoey
      @NoWayJoey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MattieXMotoi mentioned in the video the rear brake caliper is difficult to bleed because the bleed screw is on the bottom and air only escapes towards the top so if someone bleeds the brakes air will get trapped in rear caliper and have a spongy rear brake feel. These motors are relatively low output for a ducati so the engine will last a long time if you do the maintenance. Most important maintenance would be the timing belt.
