No lies told. Been traveling as CNA since 2020 and the money is good. Keep in mind that the higher paying contracts usually have the hardest assignments at times. Once you get used to it its not bad. We have to endure grunt work anyway so why not get paid for it. Im currently in school for nursing as well and because of travel $$ I can take off when i need to for studying and ect. Love this video❤

Let’s be honest CNA is backbreaking, I applaud those that are in it. I myself did it for 2 years… for those who might not know CNA=PCT=aid.. some big facilities(nursing homes) will hire u and get u certified but have a committed clause when u get hired meaning u have to stay with them for a certain number of years.. nursing homes are ur best bet. Hospital is harder to get into, that’s when connections come into play and u will have to compete with nursing students who are looking for a job while studying (they are mostly prefered). Idk in other states but in the east coast(NY/NJ) travel CNAs aren’t that popular..yes you can do overtime but it is hard work that by the end of 8 hours ur already beat.. some nursing homes the ratio is 1:6 patients( some are Hoyer lifts, total dependent). In the hospitals it can go to 1:6-8 depending on the area. Personally, I would advise someone to just get an LPN degree.. still in demand in nursing homes and care facilities and less physically demanding job. -Coming from a BSN-RN OR nurse

Travel CNA's making $25-$40 an hour still, and agency staffing CNA's making bank too. Also if you a CNA in a big city, without traveling you'll make $20-$30 an hour. I'm a CNA but not working as one and its astonishing how much they're making in Kansas City, Missouri these days. I'm shook!

Private Duty Home Hospice is an amazing career. I loved it with Geriatric that is . I couldn't handle children it just broke my heart to see children on Hospice and End of life management care . If you are a person who likes to sit and listen to stories and history of the past PDHH (private duty home hospice ) is the way to go. All of my patients say the same thing about me that they wish others would do is Sit and just listen. They get very lonely and very bored and need someone to just listen to them . And not always talking about their health and what did they do or eat or if they took their medicine. I don't need to ask any of that . If the nurse before me did the job correctly then I have everything I need in the file so why do I have to ask . I give them a chance to be an adult and human. I don't talk at them I talk with them and don't treat them like a child. They are grown adults who have had a long and very interesting life . Some more than others and they loved to talk about it so let them..

Thanks for this video, I thought it was just travel nursing that made more money! Overtime really does skyrocket pay, it's nice to get scheduled 12s or 16s out of these LTC facilities and then having 3-4 days off to yourself and making more than if you go 5 days a week for 8 hours. Sometimes I get to float and just do vitals and hydration, meanwhile travelers have to work the floor lol, also I didn't know about stacking up the certifications

Is there a length you need to be a CNA before traveling? And I’ve heard that on apps like Clipboard, you can take shifts that are urgently needed for $40-$60 or even $90/hour, but I’m curious how often that happens. I know on holidays the pay goes up, but how often every week will there be shifts like that that double in pay?
