Use another barrier to entry: bar with battery alarm - available online- that goes under door handle to floor. Tape in place- they can potentially be dislodged underneath door. Use travel cameras with wi-fi and sd cards. Any interruptions in service, you will be alerted. If the sd card is missing, you are definitely in danger. Food and drink should be disposed of.
