I think it was so nice seeing a modest Christmas. Seriously, so many people go overboard and half the room is full of gifts. I applaud you both 😊 they received a great amount without going crazy.
This is what its like to be in a family where there's abundant love, a mother who doesn't run charge cards overboard, and holidays/birthdays, etc, are fun. I never had that. Very little love directed my way. envious, but I live it vicariously now thru the Holleins... now teach the kids the joy of snow ice cream.. big bowls of top snow, milk, sugar, and vanilla blended together, and stirred in.. yum!!
I feel like that's the good part for some of us we might not have gotten that family love but we can give this love to others and watching the Hoellein we learn many lessons about it. Thats why I love watching them Warms my heart no matter what.

You honestly have the sweetest family. When I was Olivia's age every year my aunt would send me little wood furniture, little wood dolls, and small dishes and pottery that she made herself. I never got a doll house but I will always save my dolls set for when I have a daughter. Merry Christmas to your family

Lincoln is going to love that vacuum. My son who was born in the same year as Lincoln (in May) is obsessed with his sisters vacuum. My little guy uses it more than her now and whenever I vacuum he grabs it and vacuums along. It's the cutest thing.

When I was little we use to do Christmas very similar in that one person opened a gift at a time. However one adult, usually dad or grandpa, played Santa and would handout one gift at a time. Looking back I have no idea how they contained us as kids. So cute watching your babes enjoy Christmas like this :) I love seeing how other families celebrate, and how you and Joel have blended your family traditions and created new ones.
