    Literally went back to this video to leave a comment 😅 I've been trying to build my own color palette for my own brand and this video literally summed up everything I've read and researched for the past two weeks. It's the only thing that gave me a step by step process. I'm happy to say that I already have my own color palette and I can now move on to fonts ❤ And that's all because of this video.Thank you! You made me take a step closer to making my own brand 😍

      Yes, I did check it out 😊 I chose Bebas Neue and Montserrat, I moved on to brand name and Logo and got stucked 😅 I'll work on it again today. I wasn't able to see a video from you regarding those by using the search bar, but let me try to visit your channel's video list instead. Hope to find one cos your videos are not only direct to the point, but also very helpful.

    Awesome video... i've one question.. the 2nd main color needs to be similar to the main color?

    • @ScottAdamLancaster
      @ScottAdamLancaster  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, so please remember this approach should be seen as a guideline and not something set in stone.
      So the 2nd colour should compliment the main colour, which usually means it should be quite similar. Opting for a darker or lighter version of your main colour is always a great approach here. As it leaves the room for error very small, even for someone with no design experience.
      Hope this helps and let me know if you need any further support. If you're really struggling, get in touch as scott@clementinehouse.com

    Hello sir, I have a question, the second dominant color is written as “complimentary” (or did you mean “complEmentary” with an E? like the opposite color on the color wheel?), but you picked an analogous color, almost green. Then for the third one, you suggest a high contrast color, which means a complementary color? but you chose blue, while your chart suggests red or pink (complementary colors for green). I am a little confused. Please help.

    • @ScottAdamLancaster
      @ScottAdamLancaster  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your main colour should be picked first. Then pick a colour which compliments it for your second colour.
      Your accent colour should stand out from your main colour, but still look good beside it.
      You can use many different types of colour wheel and colour theory to create your palette. Just go with what 'feels' best for you.

      It is indeed free to do the palette generation on the website! I first checked the App Store and saw that the app was around €3,50 but it is possible to play with the colours on the web version. I did today, following your great example, the only issue was that the generator didn’t give me that many options for yellow, so I ended up browsing quite a while without getting the good result. I need to give it more time, I suppose. Thank you so much for your quick reaction!
