Danny was a musical genius he could play anything any style often he would blend many genres in one song a true genius who left way too soon greatly missed rip Danny you will never be forgotten!
I saw Danny live-twice. He was such an inspiring cat. Made me go buy the Bardens in 88. Still have that tele that was and is inspired by Danny , trying to nail a glimpse of that tone monster. Other guitars come and go , but this one will be loved and not taken for granted. The gentleman always leaves an impression - Danny certainly did just that. R.I.P. - DANNY GATTON.
"I was in a crib on a sunny day and heard the music of the angels"... if it wasn't danny gatton I'd cry bullshit... true musical genius... great post!

Just the best ever. Hands down.
First time I ever heard him play acoustic. Love it.!!! Thanks
God bless you Danny.
Wonderful interview, wonderful man. Thanks
"A fresh bucket of clams!" Never saw him play acoustic before. Amazing. What a humble fella the Humbler was... Great upload. Where did you find it!
@guitarsncarsnart I don't really remember. I've had this for many many years!
You can tell he was the greatest because almost no one but musicians knew who he was till he died! I'm listening to 88 Elmira st. right now!
I love this guy.
Poignant
Danny is my idol
Holy crap...Danny made a mistake. Mark the date.
I notice Danny and Vince Gill play a lot alike
Clams, eh? So, THAT was his secret..
He was to his era what Guthrie Govan is to today’s. Too bad he gave up before finding his niche.
