My main problem is the dogs, they sometimes just decide that you aren’t allowed to attack them, jump back 50 yards and don’t let you chase them because of an invisible hitbox
Use a projectile based main dps like Mona or Yoimiya to hit them from a distance

Try using your catalyst rotation or bow or anything that has homing effect rhey can hit it when he goes back swap to your dps again
Yeah for melee character they suck, not as much as specters but thats a whole different level of annoying. Really wish i had a good range DPS character built.

The previous abyss is in concept harder, because the enemies dodge a lot. However, the enemies in this abyss are a million times more tanky and the wolfhounds can run away if you are unable to stagger them
The Maguu Kenki's without Zhongli shield is scary, they can one shot me while I'm tryna dish damage and my heals can't help and I have no Zhongli. So that's the hardest part for me
I use raiden/national team i just use burst to avoid there attacks
I have albedo, Zhongli, geo traveller c6 and Noelle c6 maguu kenki was more of a, cryo slows you down pain
Diona is a good alternative. The cryo absorption from her shield can easily block the frost field/frost dive
Xingqui skill and Beidou burst both have dmg resistance. pair them up with a healer for great sustainability. great support dps too. no need for zongli
Diona is insane for that floor, she'll help with shield, heals nd the most annoying kenki is the cryo one, so her shield doesnt take dmg frm that at all cz of 250% absorption
when you are a childe main so more magu kenki's literally makes it easier
Childe is super strong this abyss. His vaporize team with Xiangling is way better than other alternative for the second half of floor 12.

The rifthounds are really annoying but I still think it's the spectres that need a nerf as they're just silly balloons that have no right to be immune to CC while simultaneously be as tanky as Whopperflowers and Geovishaps. I hate their existence more than Hydro Abyss Mages.

Don’t know who decided on these spectres. They don’t look very tanky but their hp pool is just like a geovishap. Not to mention, since they’re always flying It’s very hard to kill them with Hu Tao
at this point i just think they are physically anchored to the imaginary tree itself, and not actually floating
Any anemo unit like kazuha, venti or even sucrose can help a huge deal when going against them. Then just get some elemental reactions going to get good multipliers. I'm a F2P who started in July btw.

The new spiral abyss is definitely a challenge for me to the point where I can't complete it. It's good that we get some hard content but it is really only for the whales and others who spend money. As a f2p player it is really hard to get 3 *s on everything.
F2ps who optimize their accounts and min max can absolutely 36 star it. It rewards people for making their accounts good. The abyss shouldnt be a hand me out like it has been. It should reward players for making the accounts they have grinded for good

If u are f2p n only pull for waifus or husbandos then forgot about abyss. Nowadays abyss is pure meta char no room for fun build for f2p players
Yeah but rather than changing existing content, they should create new content to suit whales. If the abyss keeps getting harder, newer players will never even reach floor 12

i've heard somebody else say this and i have to agree. This abyss feels easier IF you managed to complete the last abyss because the damage ceiling is the same but it's easier to do that damage because the enemies group more. Also the wolf corrosion isn't that bad because you can dodge + it doesn't stack like old floor 11, it just refreshes cooldown

this is just in case anybody is curious but my full comps for this abyss were
t1: eula-beidou-jean-diona
4vv jean with freedom sworn to buff my beidou, with a diona for the shield/cryo resonance
razor also works good here, maybe even better than eula because you can slot somebody else other than beidou here but i just used these two because they're way better invested in.
t2: noelle-geo mc-xingqiu-sucrose
sucrose was used mostly for vv and ttds to buff xingqiu and for some occasional cc
also PLEASE guys either run Viridescent or electro/geo. These guys have a lot of elemental and phys res and they're going to slaughter you. They don't have that much hp, they just have a lot of resistances!!!
Also for the 3 maguu kenki, you can manipulate the rng by running to the far left of the chamber then running at them, making them all group together and stay grouped!!!
What is damage ceiling?

@@jacobpelegrin3314 well i mean yeah same but that's mostly because rifthounds have 20% elemental & phys res. you have to hit them with the same element(electro or geo) to decrease their res. Only downside is they start attacking more. But it's honestly not even the damage, it's mostly how they constantly jump around the map, sometimes even off the map
I would agree with that as well. I found this version easier than the last one because the enemies group up FAR easier. I had a decent freeze team that was able to power through floor 12 in a couple attempts. Overall, I thought it was fun. It finally made me change my standard abyss team up.

Surprisingly 12-2 was the easiest. The wolves move too much so I end up using so much time chasing. U can trap the maguu kenkis with Geo travelers ult.
That Maguu Kenki floor was easier than expected. Especially with Noelle or Zhongli's shield.

This is easiier, if you have ganyu, kazuha and zhongli, if u dont have u done
Floor 12 is fine you can 3-7 star it easily but it gets increasingly difficult and boring if all they do is add tankier enemies. Add more mechanics that actually encourages people to think outside the box. Imo that would be a more fun and engaging end game.
Yeah and on top of that give us more resin so we can actually have a more diverse character pool on our accounts.
Yeah, even tho the last Spiral Abyss was annoying and have many RNG, but it is more fun to me than current Spiral Abyss, because in the last Spiral Abyss we have to positioning ourselves at the right time so we can group the enemies

I don't have issue with Abyss getting harder, the issue I have with it is the reward doesn't get improved.
Like many have mentioned, it should have been Floor 13 with additional rewards, instead of the same amount of Primogem.
Image you are being put in a position that you are expected to work harder and longer hours at work while the paid remain the same as before...
This abyss was not easier. The enemies were tanky, the corrosion and evading mechanics of the hounds were really annoying. Ofc with Bennett, zhongli,kazuha,venti,ganyu.. everything seems easy.
In general easier, i say it with a decent f2p account, the 3 kenkis are easy however this abyss has it's hard parts for the incorrect reasons, yes the dogs have weird hitboxes and you have to go after them, making you lose time, if the hounds were changed for challenging yet balanced enemies mor epeople would 36 star it

@@lilygirllisa you just have to plan ahead of time, i started farming for eula 3 months before her re run was even a thing, and now i have a godly eula thx to that.
I don’t even think people understand that spiral abyss is supposed to (at least from my POV) be a test. You’re testing your characters AFTER you’ve invested and leveled them. It’s not something you can should expect to be easy at AR 40…I don’t think I 36 starred for the first time until I was AR 50+. And even now it’s more about strategizing than it is just having the newest or most meta dps (though Eula makes the “hardest” floor look like training).
True it is a test. I don't get it why people complain not being able to 36 stars it. It just means you still need to do something about your team or invest in them more. They expect free primogems despite having unbuilt characters. LOL. I also didn't managed to 36 stars my very first abyss since I didn't had any other good dps besides Raiden when I started. After getting Ningguang to 90 and also some other character I managed to beat it on the next cycle.
Personally, I'd rather they put out a Floor 13 so people can talk about 45*s instead of shoving the dps ceiling requirement higher and higher for floor 12

7:14 "don't get hit" - that's exactly what I always say to my friend about those Rift Hound.
Not having any anemo and/or geo characters makes this floor 12 incredibly hard, to the point where I cannot beat it. High resistances and hp pools mean that I simply cannot deal enough damage in time. Also if I go in too recklessly in an effort to try to deal as much damage as possible, then I risk dying due to corrosion. A single missed dodge can be a death sentence. Having Hu Tao as my main DPS is also an issue for this reason. Overall it's just not fun and I do hope they make it easier or maybe just take away the primo rewards from floor 12 and merge them into floors 9-11 and keep floor 12 as a challenge floor for those that have the characters required to beat it. Right now I feel disappointed having spent so much time and money into this game and not being able to get those primos because they just made it too challenging.
That last moment before video ends is so relatable .. Saving for ganyu but damn it they are so tempting🥲

My issue with this spiral abyss is that the rift hounds have moves with invisible walls where you can hit them and their crazy movement plus the huge health pool they have makes them a huge problem even though I have the damage to kill them
it all comes down to your units tbh. I have 2 accounts and my 2nd account with Eula and Xiao teams who made previous abyss really easy is now barely touching floor 12. Meanwhile my main account with Hu Tao and Ganyu ran through it in 2 tries.
The Kinky's are kinda brutal, but having no phase-shift downtime helps. Curiously, that's the only chamber of current last floor that I 3-star so far; it's also good because Geovishaps jump INTO you, no Rifthound i-framing and dodging bullshit

@@capperbuns I personally found the magu kenkis the easiest floor to deal with because they stand mostly still. They deal a lot of damage but i just stood in bennetts burst and could tank everything
@@capperbuns they can, and do, get quite split up, depending on your positioning. Mine was bad in the early runs so I got to see it, and often got wind bladed to shreds by Lone Gale

I wasnt planning on pulling for eula but at the end i did, it was an impuls;-; but do you think i will regret taking her instead like xiao or ganyu? They are not difficult to use just spam plunge or charged, but ive seen that eula needs specific attack rotation and your dmg depends on it. Is she difficult to use?
@@hubabuba9448 I wouldn't say difficult to use, more that you will have to have more presence of mind while doing her rotations than say a Ganyu. You'll need to E and manage E stacks while doing the rest of your party rotation to funnel energy into Eula for her burst and while her burst is active you will have to focus on landing as many hits. That being said I find it extremely difficult to clear the current abyss with Eula because the rifthounds move around too much and literally i-frame my ult lmao

@@reimidii7344 They are considered both really good dps, Eula is considered better for speedrunning tho, especially if u have her cons, I just recommend u chosing whoever u have better character to create a team comp, if u have Sucrose built, then go Xiao, if u have a Diona or/and Raiden built, go Eula, etc...
its not about f2p or whales, its about the team you have. and having ganyu with zhongli makes everything smooth.

It did get harder. I always get 33 stars on the abyss so i always get to finish it but this time it really was a challenge and very stressful but i still got 33 stars though some of the chamber were so close like just 1 second left 😭😭

Its easier for you because you have like high refine of ganyu’s bow and ganyu,you also have zhongli,kazuha and diluc with wgs. Like srsly that’s already a whale level even if you’re f2p.
Imo I think this version of the Abyss was alright, if it wasn't mostly for the stupid big wolf enemies, so I end up getting 31 stars again but I'm fine with it.

Well I disagree because I went from 34 stars in the previous one to 30 stars in this one. I haven't been this far from 36 stars since like June and my account is more powerful than ever having built up Childe and Hu Tao added to my team.
My issue with Spiral Abyss is I have no desire to bother 36 Star'ing it, My account could easily do it but i have never done it as i always just "one and done" it at 34-35 stars simply because i think basing "difficulty" on DPS checks and time limits is boring at worst and lazy at best. Adding health bars the size of tombstones to enemies and asking you to whittle it down quicker isn't a difficulty modifier, it never has been and has always been looked at as the laziest way of creating an artificial challenge

Feel like this is a hot take, but I think the spiral abyss was perfect this time around, at least for me. I got 35 stars (Screw 12-3) and I'm pretty happy with that. I can see how f2ps find it too hard tho (I'm a light spender)
the only problem for me personally is that the wolves have lots of hp AND move around a lot. besides that its honestly fine i got 33 stars but i could probably get 35 if i kept trying and using optimal comps for each chamber rather than just one run through
Nah, it's far from perfect for me (Also 35 star and struggling on 12-3). The more patch we have the tankier the enemies get, while the reward always stays the same. I kinda hate them for it, not to mention the corrosion (I personally find this feature counterintuitive with fun) and small hit-box enemy (wolf) are really a pain in the ass for this abyss.
@@pandie_6 That's fair. My two teams are Xiao geo and Raiden, Childe, Kazuha, and Benny, so solid teams, and the elemental shred you get with the wolves makes them much easier to deal with. I do wish they moved around less tho 😂
@@HRavenfolks I actually enjoy unique mechanics like corrosion because it changes the meta. Zhongli shield bot is no longer a solve all solution, I now have to run a healer with him to sustain the dmg. Healer meta is kinda cool imo, I wanna see unique characters be featured by mechanics

National team destroys floor twelve. Used it against the kenkis and it felt a lot easier killing them instead of just one
you do make a fair point with what would be needed as instead of single target focus having yourself a massive amount of AOE clearing would make these floors pretty easy, sadly i ain't got that myself but will attempt it anyways with my best units. keep up the great work Mtash.

Mtashed, I have an idea. Do abyss on your phone and then talk about difficulty again, I think it will be fun to watch.
The only part I had trouble with was 12-3 first half. I didn't know that the wolves have really high resistance to everything and enrage makes them drop 65% to electro. That's better than viridecent. I know you love diluc and he still gets you through everything but you have to use Hu toa and you will see that he is power crept. My decent build with shimenawa set hits 60-70k with just zhongli shield and xingqui. And even with shimenawa I can see her burst over 200k. Her charge attacks hit multiple enemies more than not really. I was running ganyu xiangling Bennet and diona and couldn't get it done so I tried running sucrose in place of diona and it made a big difference. I think tazer comps are the easiest way to do first half of 12. And I will gladly take a higher health pool over the previous versions. It was more a matter of retry until the stupid enemies don't separate completely. At least this way you can make changes to improve your characters to get it done. The ai rng was a nightmare
Yeahi felt that this abyss was easier as well. So did my friends that also 36 star on the regular.
I'm thinking for those that needed perfect rng to squeeze through the last abyss are probably struggling here. Not sure but that's how I feel things have gone down.

The enemies I have trouble with is the rifthounds and spectors they just won't keep still especially the rifthounds teleporting everywhere it's annoying
9:49 is ganyu still able to melt all her bloom arrows even with her Q and Diona's Q raining cryo on enemies?
I also see mtashed always using Ganyu's Q with Xiangling pyronado and them bloom arrows. Is that better DPS?

If its mechanical it might just be dust/grime. Had it before with my E key... a drop of surgical alcohol cleared it right up.
This domain is easier than the last one imo(floor 12) in the last one I died constantly I actually built my c3 qiqi because of that. In this domain all that's really an issue for me are the geo rift hounds, since i don't have a geo char to deal with their tankyness. 😅
I'm feeling like this one is harder than the last one. The last one I could ez clap the abyss, this one I'm actually struggling ;-
I think with the kinky mangos, the single one we were facing before was basically all 3 of the current ones combined. The moveset of the megazord kinky mango basically got split up into the three we see.
The mask one only does mask based attacks (the push or slow targeted nuke). the anemo one seems to mostly do ranged wind slashes. the cryo one is the one that kept all the annoying moves (the charged blast and slash, and the forward dashing slash). Actually, I'm not even sure if any of them can do a backdash anymore.

I've been playing since 1.0 and haven been able to get 9 stars in floor 12 since the last abyss. But I couldn't get max stars in floor 11 because of the elemental cubes, so I still couldn't get the 36 stars achievement. The abyss is pain.

It’s been about 4 spiral abyss rotations since I couldn’t at least 34 star abyss. These pups are pretty tough, making me wanna raise Qiqi… Magu Kenki n friends from floor 12-2 are probably easier for me
Abyss is very character dependent ig. I could see Ganyu Cruising against multiple rifthounds. Meanwhile whenever I use Raiden they're just pushed back and they move a lot. So basically melee character without range moves are nerfed for this abyss.
Use sucrose, qiqi (with new set), beidou and fischl together in 1st team for floor 12. 5 things which helps this team
1. Physical buff in current spiral
2.qiqi ult and beidou together will give massive heal so the damage from the new set will be very high.
3. Attacking Puppy and dog with same element will give more damage when rage is up (in this case electro).
4. VV set and superconduct for more shrewd.
5. Sucrose with TTD will snapshot beidou's damage.

I wasn't able to 36 star Abyss for 3 months now, until now again... No significant upgrades except for the Cinnabar on Albedo.
You can see how many fights you did in spiral abyss in the current and previous one, I had last spiral abyss only 16 fights, meaning I fought the 12 rooms and had to do 4 extra trys, this one I had 29 fights total meaning that -12 for the successfull fights I had a total of 17 retrys and all of them was becouse of the big rift wolfs having this back dodge that follows up with an dash and while they are in the back dodge there is like an invisible wall similar to Adrius weekly boss, it was to me a bit harder to group them but maybe I just dont understand their moveset fully
It would be cool if you put an updated video of your builds since there have been so many new artifact sets out
For some unknown reason i have a i think hitbox problem with the wolfs in the abyss
