My favourite moment from 'Domination Live (Feb 2020)' is when, late in the song, Miku throws her head right back smiling upwards. I like to imagine she's thinking something like 'Holy s**t...I'm in the best band in the world...and it was all my idea!!...Po!!' They were slaying that song...and the whole gig. (I got the blu-ray a few days ago...7.1 digital surround...awesome)
Miku is made of steel. Her drive and determination is pretty inspiring. She seems pretty fearless to me.

Apart from being impressed at the quality of this recording, I was impressed with Miku -- how much she has grown as a guitarist. Full credit to Kanami as her teacher.
Also credit to Miku for putting the required work to pull it. I mean 8 hours a day practicing is incredible.

Incredible video! They have so much fun on stage amongst themselves and the fans! This video is very unique for getting to hear Miku sing and play, she often gets lost in the mix. That tone she gets out of her Zematis is awesome! And, lots of great Misa action as well, so great!

Love how they look to each other, smile and each is aware of the other. I don't know, but I believe the group dynamics is on Miku's skill. And I love mostly how she is living her dream!!

On this recording you can hear very well not only how the MISA` bass connects to the melodic line, then to the rhythm, and from time to time appears on the first plan as a solo instrument, but also how she regulates the intensity of her playing, when she sharpening or softening the sound. Just fell in love with 5 girls at the same time
The only reason my wife is not getting jealous about me loving them is that it's a whole band of five girls. Nothing personal, she thinks 😂 Well, of course, they are more like anime characters to me. When I saw them during Meet&Greet at Melkweg, I was shocked that they are actually the real people. They looked so gorgeous... and quite unreal, like porcelain dolls. When they are on stage, it's really like watching a movie, but when they were just sitting there on chairs... I felt like I'm sleeping and watching a dream.

Great video. It sounds great and you got up close and personal. It's great to see all their smiles. The girls are playing lots of gigs and it's good to see crowds from different cities in Europe and America embrace them.

I'm rewatching now the last ONLINE OKYU-JI from the day before yesterday. I keep calling it "Budokan," although of course, it was just a crowdless performance in a small studio somewhere in Tokyo. The crowd energy is really missing there... 😩 I imagine what a show it would have been in real Budokan... BAND-MAID is always feeding on the crowd, while the crowd feeds on them. It's like fire and wood: the hotter the flame, the more effective is the burning process, and the hotter the flame gets as a result 🔥 🤘

I rarely pay attention to miku, but actually her rhythm playing and timing is so neat and perfect. Eventhough she moves and jumps a lot, she doesnt do any mistake.

Yes, it's very interesting that you can see and hear Miku very well here. It was unintended, I was there for MISA in the first place. But in the end, it was Miku who was at the centre of the frame more often... Which I am very happy about, I love to see how she plays her beautiful Zemaitis. She's mostly buried in the mix, and obscured by her dazzling colleagues, but she's very good, in fact.

That was my first attempt at recording a concert 😂
And, to be honest, the first concert I attended in something like 20 years... No band and no musician inspired me enough to lift my butt from a sofa and go somewhere. But for BAND-MAID, I specifically travelled to the Netherlands from Russia for one day, just to see them. And I thank God every day now for doing this...

I want all the world for Band Maid! Having said this I want to be selfish and be near them in a venue like this, of course that ship has sailed but still...
Who knows... I also selfishly want, deep in my heart, that their period of initial obscurity continues... Just a little more 😌 I saw them four times in Europe, and two times in Japan, and in Japan, it was not so interesting, to be honest. When you see them somewhere on the horizon, in a big hall, it's like you live your life in a prison cell, looking at the world through a keyhole 😥

It's good that we can hear her very well at this side of the stage. Many people underestimate her. Of course, in comparison to Kanami, she's not such a great guitarist. But then, there are not so many guitar players in the world who would look good next to Kanami. But Miku is definitely a very good guitarist right now, and even in 2018 she was already quite OK.
She also seemed to feel extremely comfortable in this great city, this cozy hall with the nice balcony in the back, working technology with a very good sound and an awesome crowd after all the stress around the Helsinki gig.
@@joki5346 My impression was that they were a bit stiff at the beginning, and relaxed only after Omajinai Time. Well, the Dutch people provided a very warm welcome to them, singing that Miffy song, etc. 🥰
But I feel that it happens almost each time at a new place-the girls are apprehensive at first because they don't know who's in the audience, the fans or just random people. Only after they realize that these are all their friends and lovers, who know their songs by heart, they switch to a more relaxed mode.

@@joki5346 HI Joki! My plans are to visit all three concerts on the continent: Paris, Bochum, and Hamburg. I already purchased tickets for Paris, and struggling with PayPal to pay for Bochum and Hamburg.

I also was suprised, that the ticket agency offered no PayPal, so I had to go to my bank and do the transmission the old-fashioned way, because I don´t do online-banking. I ordered the tickets some days ago, but have no response till now. On the other hand, the agency has got good critics, so I have no doubt, that i will get my ticket. The weekend before Bochum I am on an oldtimer-meeting behind Frankfurt with my citroen, maybe I could take Bochum on my way back, but I´m not sure if I decide sponteanously to go there, that I will get a ticket at the entrance. I hope You succeed for Bochum and Hamburg. If not, I can buy them for You. In Hamburg I will wear a black t-shirt from Alcatraz, Ca. regarding to Misa´s answer in her own sense of humor, when she was asked, what she knows from San Francisco. I am sure that we recognize each other, because the vip-crowd won´t be big and june will have t-shirt-weather, I hope.
@@joki5346 I ordered tickets to both Bochum and Hamburg, and paid through PayPal (they provide payment details upon request). Still waiting for them. I wonder why it takes so long to print those tickets and send them out. I understand that this Me-Shop company probably wants to turn these tickets into collectables, that's why they go this long way, of actually printing and mailing them physically. For me, a PDF version would be fine, I'm not going to display tickets on my wall :-)
I will wear at each concert, in Paris, Bochum, and Hamburg, one of the custom-made T-shirts, which a small company here in Moscow printed for me. There are two black ones, with Misa and Saiki, and a red one with Akane. Misa is a mysterious black figure with red glowing eyes, I love that fan-maid picture! :-) I will probably wear it in Bochum.
And at the back of the T-shirts, I placed their BAND-MAIKO alter egos :-)
In Hamburg I'll be in a big company of four, with my wife, my sister and her husband. I will probably wear Saiki T-shirt.
