You know what 1:14 reminds me ? Flying acrobats in circus. I think it's one of the best trick you ever made, it's so smooth and elegant. And 1:01 is a masterpiece of engineering !

      @joelsinventions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Kaplamino Yeah I had the same thought after I built it, I even named the trick “Trapeze Track” lol. Thank you so much!

    GET. OUT.
I have no fricking clue how you could have possibly topped yourself after 7 but somehow you DID. Like, WHAT?!?! This is absolutely insane!
Everything was so ridiculous I can't help BUT do a clip-by-clip analysis.
0:24- Starting off really strong! I love the look of this trick. It just has a really elegant feel to it. And everything is done so precisely!
0:32- Just... like how do you even think of that? And how did I not even think of that?! That's such an awesome idea! And everything is done so precisely!
0:35- Jeez the combination of a pulley with a pendulum is a very smart and clever idea! And everything is done so precisely! (sensing a theme here?)
0:43- Oh my god. WHAT? And everything is done so precisely!
0:53- Reminds me a lot of the gear pendulum trick from the gears episode. SOOOoooooOOOoOoo GOOoooOOoOOOOoOooOd! I love how the extra loop was thrown in there too. It adds a nice touch of style. And everything is done so precisely!
1:00- HOLY WOW THAT WAS FRICKING MIND BLOWING. Like what the heck how did you think of-- no, how did you DO that?! It blows my mind beyond belief that you can just DO something like that. And my gosh the SPEED. THE WONDERFUL SPEED. So many things happen so quickly in this one and its incredible. And everything is done so precisely!
1:13- but of course you are going to have a track swing like a fricking trapeze artist because why not? My gosh that was beautiful. And everything is done so precisely!
1:22- Aaaaaand of course. It wouldn't be an 11 Inventions Video without one of these! I love these tricks where multiple of the same thing form a path for something else. The pattern it lays out is really amazing as well. And everything is done so precisely!
1:25- NUH-UH IF YOU THINK THAT I'M GOING TO BELIEVE THAT YOU USED A DOUBLE PENDULUM IN THIS VIDEO YOU ARE WRONG. How?!?!?! Double pendulums are known for being unpredictable and chaotic, but you just pulled it off. The precision on this one is incredible. Literally, everything is done so precisely!
1:34- ● ‿ ● what. And everything is done so precisely!
As you can probably tell, I noted that each clip was very precise. They are. It's ridiculous that you can be sooo precise with some of the most outrageous ideas. You can do what almost no builder can even imagine with amazing execution as well. Thank you so much for taking your time with this and making it the best one yet. Absolutely amazing.

This video was absolutely INSANE! Every trick had this super clean and satisfying feel to it. My favorite clip was the one at 1:00 because of how the ball on the string had so many uses and how it rewound. I can’t wait to see what you do next. For a future video I suggest you should do some weight tricks!

    Top 3 tricks:
    1. 1:01
    2. 1:13

Easily the best machine video I've ever seen.

Last year, I somehow stumbled upon your channel and I was blown away. Like, hidden away in the corners of the vast TH-cam landscape lies brilliant work such as yours. And it's been so great to explore the work of others in your community. I love that you guys can connect and put your genius brains together. If there were a documentary following creators in this community, I'd watch it in a heartbeat. I'm so curious to know more about what your guys lives are like outside of this stuff, mainly because your brains are so technical and interesting, and I'm curious how that translates to career and life choices.
Anyways, this video is f***ing ridiculous. My jaw dropped several times and, sitting alone in my room, I exclaimed, "...what?!" several times aloud. Incredible. I can't wait to share this with friends. Thank you for sharing your work, it's tight as f***.

DUUUUDE! You have done it once again! That was one of the best episodes yet of 11 Inventions! I was not prepared for any of those ideas! I especially loved the idea at 1:16, where the track swings and jumps from one part of the machine to another. I still have no idea how you're able to come up with such insane tricks.

I don't even know how you managed to outdo 11 Inventions 8...
This was unbelievable. My expectations were high coming into this video and I'm still blown away.
Since you worked hard making each and every one of these clips great, each and every clip deserves a little praise. So without further ado...
#1-The sliding pendulum: Like the opening clip from 11I8, I really enjoyed this. It's a great idea that's not insanely complicated but still really interesting, clean, satisfying and fun to watch overall. The swinging and sliding motions are magnificent. This clip really sets the stage for what's to come.
#2-Ball Carriers: Nicely done. Really interesting concept for a potential one ball path project. I could see this being a good addition to spicing it up.
#3-Pulley-like Bob Pendulums: This trick, as you said in Making Connections, is certainly underrated, but a very clever concept, exchanging the two weights on a pulley system as using them as swings. It's a great trick, just overshadowed by the other mind-blowing tricks later on in the video.
#4-Sequence of Swooping Tracks: Really clever! And it looks great too. One track doing is motion is shocking enough but five just kicks things up a notch anymore.
#5-Spinning Gear: It wouldn't be TheInvention11 without a gear trick, and this definitely one of my favorites. I see you took a tip from Alex and utilized a rubber band, and the motion looks unbelievable. I've come to really appreciate these complex gear tricks, and they only get better and better! Certainly in my top three tricks from this video.
#6-Unraveling Whiffle Ball: Definitely my favorite trick in the video, definitely my favorite trick since Lyle's flying mallet, possibly my favorite of all time. You said you spent a month on this and that it failed over 500 times but I promise you that the outcome was worth the work. I was amazed by what you did with such a basic trick, and this only reminds me how Carson and I need to get you to do some Spicing it Up clips with us. Also, I'm honored to have my ping pong ball used in my favorite clip. I hope you continue to use it (I've been using yours in 50 Ideas in case you're wondering).
#7-Trackrobat: This is a trick that I bet a lot of builders dream of doing but they don't have the guts to try. As if the whiffle ball trick wasn't enough, then you hit us with a track that literally goes in midair. I really respect you for putting in the additional swoop as well as opposed to having it just land flat on the table. Amazing job.
#8-Swinging Domino Sequence: Like the swooping tracks, doing one of these things is impressive on its own but doing multiple in a clean, elegant pattern just makes it even better. This trick looks awesome and is especially satisfying.
#9-Double Pendulum: This was the point in the video when I realized you were literally doing every unbelievable thing that I had ever dreamt of doing and more. How you managed to get a double pendulum to work so well blows my mind. Reminds me of one of my kinetic structures.
#10-Pendulum Trickshot: Nice way to end the video! Watching the pendulums swing at once are amazing on their own but shooting a ball through them makes it unbelievable. Also, I didn't know you had a yellow ping pong ball, lol.
Overall, this is the best project I've seen in a while. Once again you have managed to push the laws of physics to the limits doing unbelievable trick after unbelievable trick. Not only that but the tricks look and function perfectly as well. I noticed how you often used ping pong balls more than once, which I have a strong respect for you doing so. I am really proud of how far you have come as a builder and hope that more builders will follow in your footsteps. I also hope that you can find the time to continue building and especially build after you graduate. I'm looking forward to hanging out, building and playing the Switch together this summer! Thank you for bringing this vibrant, engineering marvel to the Internet.

0:20 I'm not sure where the pendulum is in this clip and I'm honestly debating whether or not to unsubscribe
(but honestly. Comments can't really do this machine justice. A phenomenal job, as always.)
My suggestion: perhaps each trick has a motion/idea running in series or parallel (where the motion is repeated three or more times, either simultaneously or in sequence).

    • @joelsinventions
      @joelsinventions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Anywhere from a few seconds to 5 or so minutes, depending on the clip. The unwinding ball trick had a really annoying reset because I had to wind the ball back up around the rod without accidentally setting it off every time there was a fail, as the ball unwinding is the first step in the clip
