As an Owner of this Synth, I find it to be JUST SO MUSICAL!!!!!! You guys did such a Beautiful Job implementing the Modulation Section, the Drift, etc. The sound of the synth stays musical even at extreme settings. Genius!! The Wave Folding is Brilliant Sounding, and I just Love the sound of the Analog Filter - more than the New SSI Filter to be honest. Yours has more character.
Glad to see this series start up. Have had mine for month or so now and it definitely has the feel of an inviting yet dense synth that rewards practice. Every night when I sit down with it it I get excited about what other worldly sounds I might conjur. Keep this series going with more please! The modulation section is intense let’s do a deep dive on that! 😀
Very thorough video. The motor longevity was always in back of my mind but that makes a lot more sense now. I love what this company is doing and their outside of the box design. 🇱🇻🎉
Fabulous introductory tutorial. I have owned the fabulous MK 1 and I currently own and love my MK 2. The folks and products at Gamechanger have been doing what no one else for years at the pointy end of the spear. Innovative with great service. They deserve your support.
Those motors sound precise. I’d want this but with a drunk mode where the motors play notes quite inaccurately and messy making for a tape warble aesthetic.
Phenomenal on all levels; sound, features, UI the compact design 😍💫 a new page in synth history! Unfortunately the motors are very loud, hoping u can sound proof the OSC chamber in future versions + aux outs $$ sounds magical
are there any plans for adding MPE control? i have a Linnstrument 128 which could play all 8 voices with MPE streams also. it's a fairly extensive expansion of the midi spec, i don't expect it to be implemented soon, but i am subscribed here for any updates.
hi , i just found this and its really step further , interesting sounding synth and by engineering you are on a right track to greater sounding future , i am looking for this kind of drum machine tool and wanna ask is it possible with this instrument to design drums or would it be possible for you to build similar system model board but for drums sound design and sequencing , and i was wondering in this system is it possible to use own samples and do sampling or could it be ?
Wauw. That's a pretty crazy little thing, love this wonderfully strange idea ❤ But you are breaking my balls with your asking price 🤯😵💫😵 And in this pricerange it would have been good to include a nice keybed.
You can send the outout (mono or split stereo) through various pedals, or use pedals in the FX send/return for each of the two motor voices. Check the next video for details: th-cam.com/video/_FHNuTXETFE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Zr8ixd_odfzVT1ZK&t=963
I don’t think motion recording is good enough, then you still have to have it up front and manipulate the device. It needs to be able to be fully controlled by another device, otherwise I’ll just be another one of those weirdos doing modular. This thing makes sick dubstep sounds, I want to play with it on my desk right in front of me, but each different song will call for different synths, and I’d need to be very selective about what comes up front and what stays backstage. If I wanted to use some sort of performance controller, many of those do not have any good controls to change synth parameters, and the few that do only have preset buttons, you have to change the parameters in software. So if I use one of these performance controllers, I might not be able to map a knob on the controller to the parameter that I want to modulate (that’s why I like the moog liberation), and modulating that parameter might be extremely important to the performance of the song. If I rely on the project bank you have included on your device I might fill it up extremely quickly, especially with how complex the project file could become, it would be much better if I could just have all that data stored on my DAW solution, which might be capable of using removable hard drives up to 2tb, and fully capable of automating a synthesizer. I don’t want you to change the identity of it but could you make a “performance edition” with either: A. Encoders with indicator lights/lcd B. Motorized knobs with electromagnetic lockdown And just make it compatible with DAW software like mpc, fl studio, ableton, etc. Or, like I said, something like moog liberation solves the whole problem, maybe that’s more your guys style
Seriously guys, when are you going to just go ahead and make a full fledged modular system or semi modular system? I’m talking a large system over 300hp. Given your aesthetic, not only would it have so many crazy features people haven’t even thought of before, it would be drop dead gorgeous. Make sure it uses some type of analog echo/delay unit with spinning exposed. Another idea you could do is a Floyd rose trem pedal. A very specific wammy bar type sound with the bar being pressed up or down, but also a very precise and fine tuning pitch shifter. This pitch shifting would be done the same way that a Floyd has fine tuners, with small knurled knobs. A pedal like this would fit in perfectly with your bigsby pedal. This one isn’t nearly as cool but another one would be teaming up with evertune and making a smart tuning pedal. It has all of the common alternate tunings inside, and when used on standard, it just makes your guitar always in perfect tune. Shaped like an evertune bridge. And like an evertune, ridiculously expensive.

A video about the modulation section is the works, stay tuned :)
Excellent video that shows off the features of this wonderful unique synth.

16:50 😱🤯incredible
26:00 reminds me of Skinny Puppy and Coil a bit.
Fantastic! Well done overview 👏

Thank you! And nice to to hear from you again :)
Incredible. You should be proud! Gonna try to order one some day
Love the raw, nicely round, tone..... 70s ~Obie territory.
Extremely great.

That’s a cool gadget.

i hate to admit it but 1) i cant afford it 2) it sounds far better than i expected. Very cool
Hopefully one day you can release a version thats "Motorless" with vco's & without the noise. The design/routings alone are very cool.
Hey guys, thanks for the video. Any plans on releasing further firmwares with new features for the device?
Hi! Yes, there will be firmware updates and there are several changes and improvements in the works. Possibly one new larger feature as well.
Looking forward to these!! 🙂@@GamechangerAudio

At the moment there are no concrete plans for adding MPE controller support. But that is something we actually want to look into.
@@GamechangerAudio understood .... it is quite a lot more to have to provision for.

So cool. Do you guys have any plans for making suits as well? No, because I’d definitely buy one too! 👔
Missing feature in the video:What does the padlock screen do?!?! I need to know!
The outro sounds like vsauce outro music

You need to put this in the hands of Anthony Rother
😍

HIPSTER GLAMURE SYNTH)
For the high price tag I think they could have created a more user friendly sequencer.
Its cool but way to expensive for what it is especially with unknown long term reliability.
The motors are designed for drones, where they need to carry weight. Here there is almost no friction, so the Motor Synth is built to last.
I got that in the video, but are they going to last 20 or 30+ years, I have synths that old I use often without issues.
Are you coming from a funeral?
what's your problem? suits are classic.
No problem, just joking.
Suits are great, but I prefer to wear a lab coat to get me in the zone 🤣🤣
@@OliverEvergreen Canadians that’s all they behave this way very classy
Yeah, the funeral of every other company that thought they were pushing the "envelope"....
who buys synth sold by a guy in a suit?🤔
I want one!
