The Wonder Twins were sent to Earth to train the use of their powers by The Super Friends. The Super Friends comic origin is slightly different in which the Wonder Twins came to Earth to warn the SuperFriends about the machinations of the villain Graxx who was bent on destroying Earth. After the threat ended the Wonder Twins remained on Earth to be trained by the Super Friends.
