the atmosphere the way the tripod rises the panic setting in it is just perfect for it to be in a horror film, infact it is horryifing (from a human's perspective ofc)
@@marinagiorgi6037 Oh, fair enough :) Well in that case, thank you very much Giorgi! Lovely name! I've got a friend called Marina, so it was a natural assumption. Great to have you here, and have an excellent day!
Funny you said that, spiderman got sent to another dimention were the martians came back on 20th century and fight them with help of killraven. On another comic, thor made a quick job out of the tripods.
Thank you! John Carpenter is one of my favourite directors without doubt. His influence is almost certainly in the mix, along with Cronenberg, Lynch, possibly a little Giger too (as well as many others I'm sure!) :) Cheers Harvey!
Well, to be fair, it's a machine, and they aren't actually eyes. It's configured that way to induce fear. The martians are tucked away inside and have a perfectly good view. It also needs to differentiate from other versions. Personally, I always found the Jeff Wayne version a bit silly, having those green eyes that... just sit there as eyes (or windows I suppose ?). But of course, you're absolutely entitled to your opinion :) We all have our own ideas for what we'd like to see. All the same, I hope you enjoy the series non the less! Also, I do have an idea for a game down the line (re: your other comment). Might be a while before I get to that though! It's just a video series for now. Thanks for watching :)
I did some colour versions back when it was for the theatre production (before deciding to go black and white). The beams were a golden colour. I wonder if I'd change that now. I'm going to have to do a colour episode at some point, because colour film was about back then, just rare. You've got me wondering what AI colourisation would do to the black and white footage. I might try it if I can work out how to do it. that'd be fun! p.s. I'll maybe show the colour renders on the live stream.
@waroftheworlds1934 I have no doubts about what you can do with such. Though, I would suggest possibly getting all Martian vehicles in it when you do. I know all of us will appreciate seeing those machines in their true colors in action.
Very impressive work! Love these small bite-sized chapters of key moments of the invasion. Looking forward to more!
Thank you, that's really appreciated! It's only going to get more intense I'm sure :)
Ok that tripod is terrifying I love the Spielberg's references in there for the design and the dark Vader eyes it makes it creepy I really love this!
It's eyes are the heat rays Huh unexpected
@@youareallverysus they were but not every version has to follow that.
A lot of adaptations do that

0:27 the tripod angered the witch !
Hehe, well it is Halloween!
press f to pay respect for the cameraman filming it
Right that's it, I'm callin' in Spidey to deal with that abomination 😁
Maybe Flash Gordon of Buck Rogers will have to do!
@@waroftheworlds1934 Flash a bit b4 my time, but I liked Buck Rogers as a kid. I have a nice Starfighter model too :)

Looks like the predator mixed with tripod
My missus said that to me yesterday weirdly! I hadn't thought about that before, and that's no bad thing! Cheers
You've definitely got a great eye, man.
John Carpenter would be proud.
I like your style, dude.

What i dont get is why the military never is there like DO SOMETHING THERE ARE ALIENS HERE💀
Give it time :D They don't know what they're dealing with yet
tbh i dont think it should have laser eyes

Creepy, also what would the tripods heat ray look like if it was colourised

Yeah you should it would really help your channel
@@waroftheworlds1934 You should do a singular episode that is entirely in color, then go back to black-and-white as if nothing had happened.
@@cyanaquamarine Noted. I'll have to pick which episode would benefit the most. I've got some ideas though :)
