    wow, I went in for a weld test. not much was said before on what kind of test... I've never MIGed pipe before, I didn't even the process because I've only stick and flux core welded pipe, nozzles and shell for pressure vessel... the test was a complete disaster. 😆😆😆
    now I've watched you I know the process. the only thing left to do is practice. thank you

    Awesome fitting and welding skills, I love the use of counter weights. What is that your using to set the landing gap? I use tig rods lol. Also someone asked how you lined your bolts holes on the flanges, we use the two hole method.

    Hi mate. Can you show the trick you used to cut/mark out the centre for the torch hole you cut please? On the domed cap. Me being a hobbyist would probably be stuck at that point, using a 2p coin, my compass, the positioning of the moon and various other strange and useless ways!

    Not a welder question. Why do you start with a gap at each joint? Would it be helpful in welding pipe fence corners?

    • @ARCONEWELDING
      @ARCONEWELDING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gap allows you to get a root on the inside of the pipe, a good root will mean the pipe doesnt leak, if there is no gap the weld wont penetrae deep enough and eventually crack
