I am still recovering from last night's show. I bought tickets while traveling because we always catch Lyle when he is at Red Rocks. I had yet to learn how or if there would be an opener. I was overjoyed when I saw KT walk out on stage, followed by Shawn.
It was also a thrill to have Lyle bring out J. David Sloan. What a class move and a great way to celebrate J. David’s birthday and honor Lyle’s late father.
But what caught my attention and what will forever burn this particular Luyle show into my memory was when KT called playing bass in front of Leland. I lept from my seat. Only a few seats back, I could not see you. But when I was driving home, your video of these two fantastic performers popped up.
I didn’t realize you were touring with Lyle, and I was overjoyed. As a bass player myself, you have been a lifelong influence. As usual, Lyle and his large band were incredible, but getting to see you perform live with him was unexpected and filled me with joy that I had goosebumps that my wife can attest to -
Your gift of recording KT and Shawn so I could share it with my daughters over breakfast this morning was icing on an already delicious cake. Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do!
Had the pleasure of attending the show last night. Shawn and KT were wonderful. Very powerful playing and vocals! Also, had the great pleasure of meeting Leland while getting a signed book and picture with him. He was so gracious and nice, cracked a joke and stood for pic after playing a long set. This was my belated birthday gift and he made it extra special. Also met Lamont and got a signed CD. He too was very kind, pleasant and accommodating. Really appreciated the personal access to these two fine musicians.
Only Lee would record a whole show despite being a huge star in his own right
First time I saw KT Tunstall was on Later with Jools Holland. She did black horse and the cherry tree. One of the best live performances I have ever seen. Became an instant fan.
👍👍 We're looking forward to finishing this one tomorrow. But if the thing that stuck from Madison was the steep house, I'm going to end up remembering the avocado parachute pants here. Circa 1990 somebody did a lovely job of hand making a pair and then donated them to my favorite haberdasher, Goodwill. I used them to go dancing, remember it well. From birth until now I have never seen another pair. Ms. Colvin has good taste!
SO glad Lyle came out for this.....I remember they did this last year and thought boy Lyle knows how to compliment without stealing Shawn's light but sharing it......Well done both of you!!!!!!

I truly love Shawn's music...she's a treasure...I have 4 of her albums and they are all wonderful...she just doesn't do fillers. Really well engineered recordings as well...KT I know nothing about but she's talented.
KT Tunstall had a string of hits back in 2006-2009. Her biggest ones were "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and "Suddenly I See" from her album Eye to the Telescope.
Great performances! Makes me wonder who should be opening up for who. 😜 Would love to see a show at Red Rock‘s one day.

Wow! They are great in this. There is a wonderful older YT video of KT appearing on a French tv show. She has to stop the song because the crowd was clapping at a different tempo than her loop. She was so cool and kept it together - asking the host if she could start again. She nailed it.

What a rude, ignorant audience! Sauntering in with food and drink with scant regard to other members of the audience and total disregard for the performers. Show some respect people. Get there on time and don't sit there stuffing your faces and waving your phones in the air.
