For those who don't know what this is based off of. The song is based off a creppypasta named "Tarnished gold", were in the main character plays as Silver, the game also has many other differences, such as being able to "steal" important items like gym badges, and wild Pokémon actively fleeing the moment they get into battle. The song specifically takes place at the ending, were all of Silvers Pokémon are dead, and is forced to "fight" Mewtwo after Mewtwo kills both Gold, and Giovanni. Of course, It's unwinnable, and Silver dies as the game ends via fading to black with Mewtwo's overworld sprite still on screen. The title itself is based after a line said by Silver when inspecting the corpses in a long hallway right before the Mewtwo "fight".
not as eventful of a song as I was expecting from the original Perish Edition trailer but I'm glad tarnished gold has some FNF rep either way, the song has grown on me a bit
