You talked about little things that make a huge impact. On 4/20/99, at 11:20am, I ate lunch with some friends outside and last minute, I wanted to switch places with my friend because I wanted to face the sun. Minutes later I was shot in the back and paralyzed by a gunman. Had I stayed where I was, my friend would have gotten shot instead, higher up the spine and maybe hit internal organs because she was/is 9 inches shorter than me. What was happening on 4/20/99 in the sky? Why did I make the last minute decision to switch places that changed my life forever? I guess I’ll never truly know.
