I surprised myself when I got side-sliding right away. After passing level 1 myself, I realize a lot of movements in this video are a bit exaggerated. On my first day, I was mainly using my hands to turn. On my third day, I'm sure I was using a combination of hands, arms, and legs to turn. I really don't know what I was doing to do the movements I was doing. If I wanted to get some place, it just happened.

It took FOREVERRR for me to nail down side sliding; you name it, I did it....drop[ed elbow and opposite knee; "Well, discovered another way to spin....damn it!!!" When it clicked, it clicked, but if there was a way for me to botch it up, I did it.
Agreed, they are all exaggerate to me....must be for instructional purposes. Wish I had found it when I was side sliding; my coach had me learning it right after turns..

I was pretty much using both arms and legs to turn. We even faced each other and orbited around the tunnel and I didn't even have to think about it. I also have videos of my progression on my channel. I even got "super positioning" right away too. Repeating these "exaggerated" moves is probably why I struggled at first. It only takes a little bit.

As for going up and down, it was basically tense up to go up and relax to go down. I flew up as high as that silver ring between the glass and upper wall. That's basically as high I was able to go just by tensing up. Then was able to start going a little higher by spreading out. I wasn't gonna get too crazy with height just yet. But I did fly as high as they take you when they do the "high flight" with you.
