I was starstruck and I’m sure it affected my play so my mono-red deck lost to his green beat-down deck (it was close at least!). Thankfully, I was playing in the unranked queue so I knew it wasn’t going to end up in a video. It was a special event for me but I’m happy my loss won’t live on forever via TH-cam 😅
The turn timer for emrakul is wayyy too short seeing how you have to factor in the opponents entire hand as new information, while thinking how to best sabotage their cards.
There was a chance to kill off Teferi or Vivian with the Chandra -X ability before the void rend. Seems like the client slows down a bit and gives such a short timer for emrakul turns. Seems fun though. Thanks CGB.
It's a lot to process with all the choices from the planeswalkers, but yeah, could've even found a spark double and copied chandra and used both -X to clean out the rest of the PW
If anyone ever had any doubt planeswalkers were a mistake, just watch the guy spam the most nonsensical, zero synergy, first sliver planeswalker pile ever conceived, survive triple emrakul, and still win comfortably.
They defo are busted and insanely strong but cgb played like a total clown and got utterly swept. Just comical level of screw ups when controlling their turn
In the planeswalker match - should have bounced your own emrikul using teferi. Then next turn if they still haven't wiped the board you could do it again, bounce your emrikul again, and spend their boardwipe.
He never used chandra minus x to kill itself and another pw and he transformed bolas to bring back chandra from he grave... like bruh it was just lol worthy
That short rope gives me so much anxiety haha your ability to process so much information so fast is amazing. Takes a lot of card knowledge to scheme that fast. This is an insanely entertaining deck
I think the thing Wizards doesn’t understand is that, despite the bugs, Arena is an amazing client. If they could create support for true EDH, I would pay a $60 full game purchase for it and would be so much more inclined to buy cosmetics if I could casually show them off in friendly games. Like, huge market being missed because they demand on only pursuing the digital economy route. P.s. great video as always
Emmy was my first mythic I opened when I started playing Magic. I love that card, and enjoy her Mindslaver effect that also just so happens to come with a giant, 13/13, squid monster body.

I'd love a version of this video where CBG just edits out all the pre-BOMB faffing until the moment he casts EmerCOOL and picks apart the opponent's deck. I could watch an hour of just that moment, deck after deck...
I played a few games with this deck list today. My absolutely favorite win is when the opponent used Pact of Negation on my Emrakul. At first I was super bummed because I waited until he was all tapped out and I was certain I had him. Damn you pact it’s negation! Buuuuuuut, then I see a prompt to accept or deny paying the mama for pact of negation. I had a big ole laugh and hit “deny”! 😂 Thx for the fun decklost CGB!

Arena HAS TO release Urza's Saga set along with Rise of the Eldrazi so we could finally have one of the most brokens combo, Show and Tell + Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. A much more powerfull version of Emrakul btw.

I agree, its the biggest cash grab ever. Standard is now a new set every 2 weeks, and historic gets the strongest and most broken crap injected every other 2 weeks... like the influx of content is good but its quite literarrly too much for this quick release... its simply them trying to force people to buy if they want to try the new and/or broken stuff. So far the quality has remained good but I'm sure on this timescale they are gonna run out soon and we will begin seeing just insane level stuff rushed out the door
I went vs a emmy commander, they got it down and got to control my next turn but I only had one card they could cast and that was a sorcery that could kill emmy so they didn't do anything and just let me kill there creature

They should use that timer on ropers, not emrakul
It's probably a continuation of the time you used on your own turn?
But it's supposed to be a whole new turn i.e the opponent's, so it shouldn't factor any of the time used in your turn.

At 22:40 I think you could have played emrakul by sacrificing your commander as treasure and letting your commander go into the graveyard.
34:57 can minus Chandra for 5 to deal damage to other planewalker instead of killing her with that sorcery

You could've declined the spark double clone, I think then it enters as a 0/0 and dies immediately
He could also have used the -X on Chandra to destroy herself and something else.
A true Emrakul's best friend is someone that chooses "decline" on all things.

when you controlled them you used something to kill chandra awakened inferno. Chandra could have -x suicided to kill another planeswalker.

My current favorite win with emrakul is playing mono black, they had lich's mastery out and had land and dread presence in hand. Was a big oof
