Uno: YoU'rE nOt AlLoWeD tO sTaCk DrAw CaRdS Also Uno: let's sell the exact same game but with like a few new cards so NOW they're allowed to do the thing we already told them not to do Lol
in this game it has a point though because of the 25 card rule, in regular uno it just slows down the game for no reason and makes the strategic use of action cards much harder. in regular uno i prefer no stacking as playing a draw 2 and seeing them pick up 2 cards and loose their turn with nothing they can do in response feels like such a middle finger to your opponent, but uno no mercy has the colour roulette card which achieves the same effect. i just feel like counterplay makes the concequences of the game less severe. a lot of people like stacking so i guess this is a hot take? but for me, uno without stacking is much more brutal than stacking even if the total cards picked up is less. for no mercy stacking makes the game better though 100 percent
@@gameswithdenverjames i think im the only person who plays according to the official rules lmao. the first to 500 just makes things more intense and i love taking the game way too seriously
Hey there! Here’s the official rule for the No Mercy version of that card: “Wild Reverse Draw 4 Card - Reverse the direction of play, then the next player in the new direction must draw 4 cards and lose their turn. With just two players this card skips the other player and makes YOU draw 4 cards. You may use the stacking rule to send the penalty back to the other player.” You’re definitely right on having to be careful in a one on one! Take care and thanks for reaching out!
this is definitely my favorite uno variant but i find some rules a bit to "party gamey" so i like to play uno show em no mercy with these 2 house rules. house rule 1, 0s and 7s effects are negated: I find this rule just ruins the flow of the game and doesn't really add much to the chaos, you cant strategize a giant draw streak if your cards are constantly changing and it can make the game last a lot longer than it needs to. house rule 2, you can stack in equal or ascending value regardless of colour: in the official rules you are supposed to state a colour when you play a wild draw card and then if someone is to stack on top of it they need to play a matching or ascending draw card of that colour, for example if i played a wild draw 4 reverse and stated the colour was green and the next player had a draw 4 red. according to the rules they would have to draw 4 cards and loose their turn because they had no green draw cards but i feel this house rule makes the game way more stressful and chaotic and its just more fun to keep stacking cards if possible to make chains that make the next player draw 20 cards and insta kill them besides that though i love this game and the colour roulette card makes up for stacking being added as i like a card with no counterplay in my uno game which is why i play standard uno with no stacking.
I totally agree with you! No Mercy is my favorite as of this comment. Also, I like your house rules! UNO is perhaps one of the best “party” games for custom gameplay, as the game’s simple enough to make adjustments to without hijacking the main objectives. Take care and thanks for sharing!
Ah, yes. I can already taste the fights that are gonna happen. I can already tell this is gonna be one of the most cutthroat games ever. As if uno wasn’t already the most cutthroat game I own. Well, that and Coup… and the Resistance… and Monopoly (jk, I don’t play monopoly)… ok, maybe not the MOST cutthroat game I own.
Haha! I’m right there with you! For whatever reason, RISK is one of my all-time favorite games. Not only is it brutal, but it’s long, making the wounds from friends and family even more painful. Something tells me that we’re both fans of brutal warfare when it comes to games. And now No Mercy can continue the never-ending cycle! Lol
at the start of the video you should have said "the objectives of the game" and mentioned that you can also win by being the last person standing when all your opponents are elimated, still great review though

Bahaha right?! I feel like people always play UNO based on their own house rules anyways.😂💀

The wildcard reverse +4 from what I gathered can’t be stacked according to the rules, especially in one on one play otherwise it bites you in the ass.

Have you seen the new game by Exploding Kittens called Little Secret? I think you'll love it.
Oooohh i’m gonna have to check that one out!
By the way there are 168 cards instead of 108 in normal uno
Whoa that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing that. You can definitely feel there’s more cards because that box is loaded!
@gameswithdenverjames I just ordered it it will come today
first time uno has stacking +2 and +4 and so on in the rules
stacking in this game is actually fun unlike in regular uno where it just makes the game longer and more boring
Right? It definitely adds to the “brutal” factor, as now so many of these cards are able to combine with others.
