Dear Michael! This is exactly what I was looking for long time. The best samba bongo lesson!!! Thank you very much!!! God bless your kindness to post it free!!!! Greetings from Moscow, Russia ;)
Thank you Michael. I'm just beginner percussion player. I learn so much from your channel, because no one percussion teacher at my city. Greetings from Batam Island - Indonesia.
I'm so happy to have new rhythms to practice bongos! More :) Funk or disco or anything would be greatly appreciated!!! And last but not least: thy for all the videos. I'm learning bongos and congas thank to you. Greating from switzerland.
Michael, i already told you that you are an amzing teacher! Thanks for Sharing with us! One request: afro beat grooves in the bongos!!!!!! please, is gonna be beautiful
Part 2!! Samba variations 🙌🏼 Friends from brazil are asking! Variations, repiques, viradas or chamadas.. good idea, no?? im playing samba on bongos with friends here un Brazil and its very nice!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge teacher!
Michel, good night, health and peace, you could record a video of the pace of the horse (CABALLO VIEJO), in the congas and another one in the bongô Your classes are extremely didactic! Thank you!
Can you make the percussion grooves either conga, bongo, cajon, djembe or any kind, for reggae music? Sometimes it is difficult for me to apply percussions for reggae except for the basic grooves. Bob Marley's reggae songs are so popular and there are a lot of 16th note reggae and shuffle reggae. Thanks. Dankewell.
Michael did you do a video on Matanzas style Yambu on all separate parts? I see the one on Havana style only. I was in Matanzas in mid 90s but can't remember the segunda part.
Michael, do you have any videos that show how you play the muted notes in more detail? When you play slowly it seems as though you slide instead of "tap" the notes, can you please share your technique for us?
In the first pattern I am confused. you say you start with an open accent tone but in the written version you have a "muted" or "closed" tone. So is the first hit closed or open? Perhaps I need to understand how you are notating the bongo in the writing. The first tone I am used to seeing for a muted sound. thanks
I've got a great idea. Until the gears in my brain mesh with those of my muscles, let's try this: I sit on your lap, someone tapes my left hand to your left hand, and tapes my right to yours. Ok. Now, let's play!!
