    Three Key Methods for Batch Processing
    Method 1: Copy and Paste Adjustments. This approach is perfect for applying adjustments from one photo to another. It's especially handy when you're working with photos shot under similar conditions. Just tweak one photo to perfection, copy those adjustments, and paste them onto the next. It's quick and efficient.
    Method 2: Sync Adjustments. When dealing with multiple photos, syncing adjustments is your best friend. This method allows you to apply edits across a selection of photos simultaneously. It's ideal for ensuring uniformity in a series of shots.
    Method 3: Save Edits as a Preset. For recurring projects or specific styles, saving your edits as a preset in Luminar Neo is a time-saver. Once you've dialed in the look you love, save it. Apply this preset to any future photos to maintain a consistent aesthetic with minimal effort.
    Tips for Perfect Batch Processing
    Check the Exposure: Each photo's exposure can vary, even in similar conditions. Ensure that batch adjustments don't overexpose or underexpose your photos.
    Check Your Masks: Masks applied to one photo might not align perfectly with others. Adjust masks individually to avoid inconsistencies.
    Portrait Bokeh: If you're applying bokeh effects, check how they render on different subjects and backgrounds.
    Vignette Adjustments: Vignettes can add drama but can also darken important details. Tailor this effect for each photo.
    Sunrays and Sky Replacements: These dramatic effects need careful positioning to look natural across different shots.
    Contrast and Saturation: Monitor these settings as they can dramatically change the mood and feel of your photos.
    Adjusting Preset Strength: Sometimes, presets can be too strong. Learn to adjust their intensity for subtler, more refined effects.

    Thanks again for another very informative tutorial. I also enjoy that you add additional nuances of the program itself and that you communicate these with Luminar to further improve the product.

      Yes - you could apply them to one image and then copy and paste the settings or put it in a Preset

    How do I delete the folder list without losing data in the folder list on the left?

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry not sure what you mean by delete the folder list? You can't. If you tell Luminar to remove the folder you will lose the edits for all the images. Why do you want to do this?

    Great tutorial! Thanks. I'm running into an issue though. All the options under "Adjustments" are greyed out. What am I missing?

      Have you done any edits to the image? Not sure what you mean. Like when you right click?

      @@DigitalPhotoMentor Yes, it's an edited photo. I thought at first it was because I was using a JPEG file, but I tried with a RAW file...same result. When I right click on the pic (blue frame), I select Adjustments, the sub-menu (Sync, Copy, Paste, Revert to original) are all greyed out. I'm using Luminar Neo ver. 1.18.0

      @@DigitalPhotoMentor I realized what I've been doing wrong. JPEG files (edited or not) don't allow you to run Adjustments. The RAW file I tried was not edited. I just edited a RAW file and now all the options under Adjustments are clickable. Again, thank you for a great tutorial.

      Not sure what you mean by "run adjustments"? All tools and options work on raw and jpg

    Awesome tutorial. For me the erase is not working in any of the batch mode. Anyway around if you know please comment.

      No erase doesn't carry over to paste or batch. I believe I mentioned that in the video no?

      Thanks for the clarification. So what's the way around. I took around 4000 photos to create timelapse. Now on edit I saw a dust spots on many of them. Doing them one at a time, will take ages, so wandering is there a hack we can use. Thanks

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sourishchanda9067 oh no, that sucks so sorry. Hmm not sure all I can tell you is that Luminar Neo doesn't batch Erasing. You could use Lightroom but the spot has to be in exactly the same spot in every image.

    Very useful TH-cam. I was only aware of using presets. I found it very slow. I could only do one photo at a time. With copy paste or sync you can do multicable files . It gets you to a good starting point quickly. This time of year I take a lot of photos of my grandson's hockey game and post them so he and his friends can view them.
    I have a question that is some what related. I have been taking photos for many years. I have a system of where I save my photos that works well for me. How ever I started shooting in Camera RAW about a year ago. What is the best place to save the files (jpeg) created from the Raw file.. Do you just keep the same name but they are .jpeg, do you change the name, do you create another directory and save them in there.
    Thanks

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I put all my exported jpgs in a subfolder next to the raw files. So I make one main folder for the event for example. Inside that is one subfolder for the raw files, and another for exported files. File names is up to you but if you're exporting them as a batch no rename is possible with Neo.

    Not easy like sync from Lightroom or batch processing from Luminar flex, one click for all photos.
