This recipe was very good. Tried it today..it tasted better than Iyengar bakery benne murukku. I didn't have curry leaves at home , so skipped that part. Otherwise, consistency was perfect. The key to getting benne murukku at this level of perfection is to add butter whole heartedly, and next to remove the murukku from heat as soon they are done so that they don't taste like chakli and yellowish colour is retained.
