the system of assigning jobs to religious sects looks like what the left is doing in the west: giving jobs to minorities because of their skin color. Lebanon is on a better way, the west is not. But it is a pity a lot of christians have left lebanon because of increased hostility

Amazing video! Thx for sharing. I was studying Arabic in Beirut and experienced the first week of protests there before my term ended and I left the country. Your video brought tears to my eyes as I remember how incredible the Lebanese people are. I've never met a kinder more welcoming people. I look forward to returning this fall to Tripoli to study further! Thx again for sharing your wonderful experience!
Trust me ,protests are not like other protests ,the lebanese protesters won't hurt the soldiers or riot (maybe a little of them )lebanon is a safe country ,its only the corruption and pollution and all that
This was a very touching video Jacob. The Lebanese people really inspired me with the way they carried themselves and their protests peacefully. They are all so gracious. They truly are the spirit of the country and were my favorite part of your experience. From Shahway (hope I spelled that right), to Elias to the woman and her son who helped you in the rain, I can honestly say these people made an impact on me. Friendliness is after all, the greatest gift there is. I've never been to Lebanon and frankly I never put too much thought into the country prior to seeing this video. But as you do so well and so often, you bring my curiosity into the mix and make me intrigued to learn as much as I can. I loved how you played ping pong in the monastery which was very unique and I loved the priceless reactions you and the father had competing with one another. You also gave me a bit of a scare climbing to the very top of that abandoned hotel. When you were keeping your balance, the jerkiness of the camera made me feel that I was the camera itself and was on the verge of going overboard, haha. But overall Jacob, this was another tremendous experience that I'm glad you brought us along for. These Middle East videos you've been making have opened my eyes in ways I could have never envisioned before. The history is also essential to know and you do a great job of detailing all of that. Cannot wait to see where your heart takes you next. Keep spreading the love and curiosity wherever you go! #WeAreExploriors #StayCurious

Jacob, thanks for a fantastic look at a country most of us in Canada know very little about. Your courage to forge ahead into a place that there is turmoil, is very brave, but you've shown us that the people of Lebanon are very friendly and hospitable, and it is an incredibly beautiful country. Stay safe, and I wish you many more amazing journeys to come.
I currently live in Alberta but I immigrated here from lebanon, I can tell you that lebanon is definitely worth checking out, this video was really great but it missed alot, there are so many more hidden gems that he missed (of course he would be there for 3 months if he wanted to check out everything haha).
