- Play music for your cockatiel. Playing an instrument, whistling, or singing can be entertaining for you bird. With enough exposure to certain songs, it may even learn to sing them back to you.
Try playing games with your cockatiel. Playing games can be a great way to help your cockatiel keep stimulated and learning new things. It may also help to your bird to bond with you. Try some of the following games out with your cockatiel:
Try dancing with your cockatiel. Move your head up and down, or side to side, to the beat of a song. Cockatiel's have a sense of rhythm and will often move their head with you and the music.
Play hide and seek with your bird. Take your bird into a room and gently set it down. Go around the corner to a new room and call out to your bird. Peak your head around the corner so you bird can see you and say “come find me!” before ducking back around the corner. When it find you, give your bird a head scratch and let it know how well it did.
While watching the cockatiel, bob your head or rock your finger back and forth to music with a steady beat. When it starts to rock back and forth, reward it with a clicker and a treat. As you continue this training, and find music that gets the cockatiel's attention, it may sway more energetically and raise its wings while doing so. Similarly, whistling during these dance sessions may encourage the cockatiel to make sounds of its own.
I have no clue what this precious ,sweet baby is saying, but every time i play it my cockatiels (Charlie &Pearl) and my 5 budgies go absolutely crazy jabberin and tryin to sing Its hilarious how they can respond to some videos like this and others have no affect at all. Thank you for sharing it cause we play it several times a day and it makes my babies very happy😊🕊

Donald Stanfield she is happy now!! She is 11 months now! I’ve got her a friend his name is Coco they are happy together but Coco is new just like her 8 months ago but sometimes he says some random stuff but he will open up just like Ally did!
Xaviera Alvarado they had 2 baby cockatiels I named them kiwi and kelly they are sooo cute and they really love interacting with humans since I hand fed them since week 1. They whistle and say words ally and coco I gave them to my grandparents because they said they wanted them so yeah!!!

I’ve done this twice where I turn it on for spike and he takes a second then he starts going crazy and when it turn it off he stops but keeps going a little because he wants it back. he responds with a big chirp every time he stops.
This by far is my cockatails favorite video on their Playlist. I play it every morning and night before bed.

Listen this is ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!!! I have two male cockatiel MANGO & RIO !! My Boys are So Mesmerized I don’t know if this is a female mating call or what but my boys are nuts over this But , that’s not all they go in sync now my boys mimic this and they know what’s next I will put this video on for them and video them on my iPhone and post . So after closer watching this video I noticed there is a monitor this bird keeps going back to and it looks like the bird on the monitor may be female doin some type of mating call and he is reacting to it at one point he goes back over to the monitor and the video that was up of the cockatiel is minimized and the home screen is on he seems to be looking for the bird video lol 😂 anyways you can also see if u watch him that there’s definitely several times when there is singing and it’s not comin from him !! Regardless it’s really cute and my boys loves it I wish I could find the video he has up that his bird is reacting to
