Yeah it is all road. Also not really a race, just a gran fondo style, big ride. Great course and well supported, so it's a good day on a bike for sure.
Notice how often this rider crosses the center line on the descent from the Parkway, even when sight line is compromised. Very unsafe riding for self, other riders, and drivers. This is a poor representation/promotion of the SOTR. Just another hammer head, wanting a good time/PR.
It's almost as if people should make their own decisions about how much risk to take, instead of trying to copy some hammer head on the internet. Probably shouldn't watch my other videos either...I run stop signs on gravel roads A LOT...

Nice! I did the ride this year, definitely one of the more challenging centuries I've done, lot's of uphill. The heat didn't help.
It is a great ride. This year was definitely one of the hotter ones!
