Every teacher I had from grade school up to college when talking about the constitution tried to say that the 2A was all about a collective right and only designed for the militia which they said meant national guard units. It's just never sat right with me that we have 9 amendments in the bill of rights that guarantee individual rights but oh hey....that one....the SECOND one...that's about the collective good. Makes no sense.
Yeah, blatant lies and deliberate misguidance on their part. The fact is, the 2A never truly defines ownership, which we suspect was by intent. 😉
"A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
Anyone interpreting that as only applying to militias is just bad at English, because "the people" refers to all individual American citizens. It is also saying that the people have the right to form well regulated militias in the first half. The "well regulated" part referring to being well organized, not "regulated" in the sense that they are limited by government regulations. So in fact it refers to both the right of the people to collectively defend themselves against tyranny and the right of individuals to keep and bear arms without interference from any law.
Of of such people simply love to be ignorant cattle. The problem with being cattle is that they are usually led to the slaughter once they are no longer useful... That's the reason deer, elk, and bulls have horns. Because them and their fellows would be easy prey and otherwise, would cease to exist.

Can’t stress how important it is to slowly introduce people into guns, especially those who otherwise despise guns. After hearing Brandon’s speeches I grew the balls to actually do it . I have converted many, it’s is possible just takes time.
I'm into guns. Part of me wants to own one. At the same time my personal life leaves that impossible. Doesn't mean I won't fight any bills policies and laws that violate our 2A!
My favorite part about crazy gun people is that they swear they'll use it to defend themselves, and that criminals steal guns, but the majority of guns are stolen from legal gun owners that swear on their mom's that they'll use that gun to defend their property. Good job guys. Defend your right to guns, just to not defend yourself.

It is a tool to equalize your chances of survival in a self defense encounter, while also lowering the risk of someone kicking your door in to victimize you while you’re present. People can’t help when scumbags break into their homes when they’re away, just like you wouldn’t be able to help it if someone steals your car while you’re at work, for example. Does that mean you shouldn’t own a car, because that criminal might then use your car to run over pedestrians? Whether you would ever acknowledge it or not, you benefit from civilians owning firearms every day of your life. When some mugger/murderer/whatever cruises around, looking for people to victimize, they have to consider the possibility that the person or home they’re targeting might be armed, which is a massive deterrent, as verified by the FBI and CDC.
@@sillygoosexv6778 More lives are saved by defensive use of guns than are taken by bad guys with guns. Take Eli Dickens for example. The would be mass murderer could have killed way more people than just 2 judging by how much ammo was unused. We don't just swear to use guns defensively and not follow through. The whole reason people legally carry guns is to be able to protect themselves and others around them. They don't just do it because they can and its cool.

It really does prove that the Gun channels who don't push for the youth like Demoranch with Matt that there is no excuse to not support the movement. Brandon's point about spineless cowards is absolutely right, we have to be a Phalanx. Anyone who is not a part of that needs to be removed or called out otherwise we WILL fail.
I'm usually not so big on hyper-political gun channels but Brandon strikes a perfect balance between brainy, nerdy, funny, and political. Always liked him and InRange TV for these reasons.

I used to be very anti gun. My friend got me into the whole thing when he was telling me about the M16A2 he bought, and hanging out with him I slowly changed my mind. No I'm very pro gun, very anti ATF, and very ungovernable.

I lost my gun rights 20 years ago because of a street racing charge. I hired a lawyer, had my felony charge dropped to a misdemeanor and sealed. That being said I was able to have my gun rights restored and join the USBP.

I'm in the UK - I got raided by half a police force and had officers outside my house with rifles and shields because i made a video on TH-cam of me chambering inert ammunition that wasn't even the right caliber in an obsolete firearm which isn't actually considered a firearm in the UK and is classed as an antique.
i didn't get charged with anything but it utterly destroyed the reputation i had with my neighbors. the same night.. a 12 year old girl was stabbed to death in the city center yet I had 15+ officers at my house when they should have been on patrol

I live in South Africa with some of the strictest gun laws and such a frustrating process to own a firearm, yet we have out of control gun crime and mass shootings. Yet they still want to take all the weapons away and its not gonna prevent criminals from getting weapons

Hello Brandon, I am 14 years old and I live in a liberal family I am happy to say that the content you have made over the past year or so has opened my eyes and now my mom argues with me about AR-15s and gun control. Thank you for making dinner entertaining and making me realize that our rights should be protected.

My wife was scared to death of guns before we got married and literally despised them. Since we have been married she did a complete 180 and started going out with me and learned to be more comfortable with them and began to use them and train with them. It was truly amazing seeing her come out of her shell and become more and more comfortable with them. I have been around firearms the majority of my life and took that comfort and familiarity for granted. And now my children are all learning proper gun safety and it has become a family pasttime.

Same here, today my wife even goes to the range with me. Here in Europe, with our strict gun laws. Crazy, isn’t it. If I’m honest i would like a little bit more freedom in gun ownership, but I’m willing to accept our rules gladly, when i see that we hadn’t a school shooting since 2009 (when they changed the gun laws drastically). And before somebody asks: Yes, we have AR 15s. I own two, one in .223 and a little .22 for plinking. At the moment I’m looking for a nice AK, but can’t decide which one to get..

Don't forget that in the U.S., we have jury nullification. If a law is unconstitutional, or being improperly applied, you not only have the right, but the duty to refuse to convict. If enough juries do that, the law pretty much goes away, as prosecutors know they won't get the conviction. The government and the courts are very careful to keep jurors ignorant of this, to the point they will declare a mistrial and get another jury if they think even one juror knows about it. Spread the word, and lets make it impossible to enforce laws that go against our rights! I get so mad when I hear after court interviews with jurors saying something along the lines of "well I knew it wasn't right, but the law is the law" grrrrr!
Yeah and you will be kicked off the Jury if you ever utter those words because they don't like the people actually deciding things the way it was intended. I wish we could spread the word on it more so more people know and can just head nod know and just do it.

Yes but if you get on a jury with the intent to call a jury nullification you can be arrested. Even if you bring it up in a jury trail you have a high chance of getting arrested

My paraphrase of a part of Brandon's message: "Help those who are currently non-shooters become interested in shooting, and take them to a range to try it out. Make the use of guns a positive experience for them."
100% that WILL make a huge difference for the future of gun rights in the USA. If every gun owner introduced two non-shooters to the sport of shooting over the next year, we would stop seeing anti-gun laws passed within the next decade.

That has been my crusade for the last 5 years, I’ve taken seven people to the range and introduced them to shooting. Of those 4 now have their concealed license and one is getting theirs.
Talk to people about shooting and if they seem open to it, take them to the range and make the experience as positive as you can. Go during a non busy time so there isn’t a lot of background noise, start with a 22 if you can and work up to the bigger stuff and demystify firearms as much as you can.
Absolutely. Inform those who ask genuine questions, and encourage them to learn more.

I was involved in operation win at the door in Idaho, our campaign didn’t do as well as we hoped though. But I saw that video in April where you mentioned YAL and Operation Win at the Door, I signed up that night and within the next two weeks I was on a plane to Idaho.

As someone who has never touched a gun, Escape From Tarkov was what introduced me to gun culture and really got me interested in firearms and how they operate. While I live in a country where I can't own guns (at least not conveniently) I have learned to respect them and how to be safe around them.

This is awesome! I've always loved guns since I was real little. Never had much exposure because my parents never liked them. I turned 18 and built my first ar15. Being 22 and now having a ccw. I've convinced my parents to also get their ccw and start exercising their 2A rights. Thank you for inspiring me to inspire and educate other people!

@@Gatsmask_FGC true, but still, Norway has very few shootings that can even be considered mass shootings. the last one was July 22 2011, and that was a while ago. other then that, we have had shootings, but not with any significant number of life lost. we have as far as i can tell not had over 10 dead in any shootings in the last 5 years i believe. i might be wrong tho, but there has not been any mass shootings in norway since July 22 2011 as i stated.

Too many gun nuts take 2A to the extreme and are the reason so many people think people who like guns are insane. You have to tone down the crazy, and stop gun violence in schools and cities while acting like a functional adult.

I'm one of those "stupid libs" gun nuts complain about but I'm kinda on their side. I can't say that most of the time because they're so gross and toxic about it. I like guns. I have lots of guns, but this country 1000% has a gun problem. If you deny that then you really need to step back and examine things. I don't think guns are the problem. I think people are the problem, and we've let the insane dumb fucks ruin it for everyone else.

Thank you for sharing this speech with all of us. I recently had a young co-worker (early twenties, while I am 43 and basically married by common law) who found out I have firearms in my home. She was thrilled to discuss firearms with me and has asked if there is any way I would be willing to teach her to shoot and eventually go with her to help her pick out her first handgun. It is California, so it won't be super easy, but it WILL be worth it.

I’m most likely older than the majority of you reading this and watching his channel. I’m a Marine combat vet and a patriot that has seen what freedom costs and what nations that have been stripped of power by those that rule them look like. I only use that to preface this statement, I’m so proud of all of you young Americans that are championing this cause and young men like Brandon that are using their platform to further the message. My generation and the previous generation won’t be around as a whole for more than a couple decades. You are the next first line of defense to protecting your rights, yourselves, and those you care about.
