I watched a documentary on scammers in Canada and law enforcement isn't doing anything about it because they are backlogged and don't have the time to deal with it. That's why he so bold and cocky.
The unfortunate thing is that he is going to keep doing this because the RCMP aren't going to do anything. If they aren't going to intervene and stop the theft of $50,000 trucks, they aren't going to do anything about $8000 in cardboard.
This isn't only on the police. eBay, whatnot, Facebook, wherever you are selling stuff, these apps needs to be held more accountable. I mean even these apps have scam advertising going on it's a crazy world lol
This story reminds me of the phrase, "You can't cheat an honest man." The buyer thought he was scamming the seller. TCGPlayer has this same exact sealed box for $18,000. The buyer must have thought he was taking advantage of the seller by paying $11,000 less than market value. An honest person wouldn't even consider a transaction such as this. The buyer should have assumed the box was stolen, or the seller just didn't know what he had. Either of these two things being true would automatically exclude an honest person from buying this box. Honest people don't get scammed like this.
the police in my area which are the exact same as him since its around the same territory wont do nothing they dont even know the diff between a raw card or a slab they would need another division speciquelly for card fraud and such also most are french
What sucks is people won’t get there money back. Instead of jail time or a fine there should be a program where guilty people of fraud etc.. they should be working for you from your job site that way your getting paid while taking a vacation of course if you got a govt job etc.. different route.
