Thank you for the exposure. I am a Professional Mechatronics Engineer currently employed in industry as a Control Systems Specialist. I graduated with a BScEng Mechatronics degree from UCT in 2012. After graduation, you will most likely deal with "instrumentation and control engineering", programming and data/communication technologies. My career has been very fruitful and satisfying. If I could describe what a Mechatronics Engineer does in the field with one word, I would say "AUTOMATION", as in computerised control of machines, devices, computer systems and large scale industrial processes using software. Your ability to code/program will be your single strongest asset/skill. Hone it and polish it well - it will feed you and your family for many years to come.
the amount of graduates Gift has spoken to are a lot. I think u should take advantage of these interactions. Huge network is good asset. U could become a high income individual if u keep networking like this cause u will see oppportunities others dont see
I love mechatronics engineering but I'm afraid because I heard it contains drawings and so on but I can't draw and don't do EGD like I really love it but yoh😭
