Phil, thank you what an amazing bassist and guitarist you are, it just blows me away that these sounds are being created by a talented keyboardist. Jimmy Hendrix would be impressed.
Its nylon string guitar sounds legit, and the fret noise and slides are legit!v But anything heavier sounds like a typical keyboard trying to do a rock guitar, IMO, fake and easily detectable. Thankfully I can play guitar better than piano.
@@phillc Thank you for all of your videos by the way. I really want to get this 670, but I keep feeling like the 680 is right on the horizon so for the last year I've been holding out.... :)
@@phillc How is the saund compare to yamaha sx600? Dgx has 600 sounds but 256 polyphony, sx 600 has 850 sounds but 128 polyphony. Which one has better and richer sound?
Indeed Christopher that would have been a great addition. The screen is so tiny. I'm not sure that is doable though. Great feature to request from YAMAHA.
Can you set this keyboard up so the pedal controls the amount of Distortion? The manual isn't fully clear on the point - the Reference Manual suggests you can only put Vibe Rotor and Rotary (when those effects are engaged) onto the pedal, but the Data List says the Distortion effect's Wet / Dry can be put onto "Assignable Controller 1" using the same markings as for the Vibe Rotor and Rotary drive effects and Assignable Control one on the DGX should mean only the pedal since there are no Live Control knobs.
Dear @kosomolsk, Thanks for your support of the channel and your question. Are you referring to the 3-pedal accessory? Or the footswitch? Do you have the 3-pedal accessory that is sold separately? I do not have it. I was unable to get any traction with the footswitch though (for distortion) - only pitch-bend and sustain. Perhaps someone who does know can chime in. Cheers!
@@phillc Either. After I wrote that, I actually went to the not-so-local shop to try it. I can't get the pedal to control the amount of Distortion either.

Wow! I am honored Robert. Thanks for the HUGE compliment!!

Haha! Yes, easily detected by trained ears. 😁

Hi my friend! Did you play distortion guitars with the pedal?
Hi @MadiKurmanbayev-op4wf ! No, I did not play with a pedal. Just the pitch bend.

PSR-SX is richer in sounds
Can you hook up a iPad to get a better visual of the dgx670 screen?
