And dot't have solution. On telefon all work good,in AS no sound.Win11. Solved!!! I used API 33, in this was problem. When i installed 31, all work)
I'm only 1 hour in, so far, but I love how you are teaching us how to do things easy way (like using the design attributes editor) instead of going straight to editing XML. I'll never remember the XML property names, but using the editor is nice and easy. Thanks!

okay so I've completed this whole video in around 9 days and trust me you'll get to know so much informative and needed concept for Android app dev. Finally, after almost 15 days I have completed this 12 hour tutorial! I was experienced with Java but now I can say I am comfortable with Kotlin as well. The pace of the instructor was quite slow for me because I already knew a lot of things he taught in detail. Anyways, it's a great tutorial for getting started.

This course is so much better than the official Google course. Thank you for making this free! I'm kinda curious if the Android dev community has migrated from XML files to Jetpack Compose or if there's still a lot of interest in using XML files for views. Jetpack Compose felt much harder to try and learn since there's no editor for app designs. Though, I can see how Jetpack Compose seems more powerful from a programmatic perspective (e.g., generating a bunch of card views from a database).

That's normal. Just follow the same lesson several times(or build the same code project several times). You will remember the steps of using the framework. After that It will be easier. Using room database steps are almost same for all the projects.

Jian, we use intent to perform an action on the screen. It is mostly used to start activity, send broadcast receiver,start services and send message between two activities.
It depends on the requirement. Firebase is a very common backend for Android. You can also use KTOR if you want to write a backend by yourself using Kotlin. We also use backends created with ASP.net and JavaEE.

Kermit there must be some small mistake in your code. I cannot figure out the exact reason without looking at your code. But, I have uploaded the code sample to the GitHub and added the link below in description. Please download it and compare your code with mine. If possible re watch the lessons and try to recreate. There must be a simple mistake.
