I do think the king in Deltarune is just a jerk that decided to follow the Knight, but I still think the idea of the Knight controlling him is awesome. Poor Spade King, hope you get free. Also Kris just straight up trying to stab Lancer.
I always personally believed that the Spade King was just being manipulated from the shadows.... But I absolutely love the take on it with this and with what's happening with Kris. :3

Can you imagine, at the end of Deltarune, be like, Kris goes back to the cell with the king, (most likely in the end, pacy or yeety it leads to the king's imprisonment just at different times) Kris goes to talk to the king, who very much hates the lighteners and still has a bad relationship with his son but then his voice drops, for the first time he isn't just false sympathy or kindness anymore, he tells Kris that despite how much he hates the lighteners and his horrible relationship with his son, he still cares about him. He doesn't care if he was mind controlled he still holds himself accountable for the many sufferings and near deaths he causes He tells Kris that despite the knight controlling him, he still let his wrath take over harm so many innocents and plans on staying in the dungeons forever. But he tells Kris that no matter what, tell Lancer to forget about him as he wants Lancer to be happy regardless. he didn't mean to cross the line and he doesn't beg for forgiveness, he only pleads for Kris and the lightners to never forget the Darkeners and to watch over Lancer and make him happy. Kris agrees to do so, the king refuses to want to talk and turns away. Kris narrates "Y o u c o u l d n o t h e a r o t h e r n o i s e s , b u t y o u s w o r e y o u s a w a t e a r s l o w l y c a r v i n g a w a y i n h i s c h e e k . . ."
Oh I love this. I goddamn love this. The voice acting is so good. I smell potential for this comic and I love it.The choice of music is really good too.

I was wondering since they said you had to make a weapon out of your soul and the player soul is in Chris doesn't that mean the sword was their weapon so doesn't that mean that Chris doesn't have a soul which also means that he can use whatever weapon he wants to but if he did have a soul I think his weapon would probably be a nice since he loves them so much
