In this lesson, you will learn how to add two fractions together in the case that either or both of the fractions contain variables. We will learn that you need to find a common denominator in order to add these fractions just like adding any fractions together. Here we show how to find the common denominator first, then how to add the fractions, and finally how to simplify the resulting algebraic fraction to lowest terms.
Your lessons are brilliant, I think it’s the fact that you explain the basic principles first then go into the equation, you make this all so simple. I have always struggled with math mathematics, wish I followed this years ago. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I appreciate your help of everything you explain tremendously sir! 💕
a very simple way of explaining. wonderful👍👍👍

You explain so well! Life changing! Thank you!!!
I bet this guy is a super chill dad
I do try. I’ll have to ask the kids :)
2x/3+2x/3=4x/3
x covers half a distance that of covered by y. If both cover a total distance of 18km, what is the distance covered by y?
Sol. X+y=18
Y/2+y=18
Y/2+2y/2=18
3y/2=18
3y=36
Y=12km.
I remember when I was in school and I did great with add and subtract and multiply but when the teacher went to teach us to divide around the 4th grade I got brain freeze! That symbol over the number being divided just messed me up!

Is this the math required to build the alpha encabulator?
Lol yes!
