Petra Lesvos--October, Off Season . . . the best time to be there!

Lovely Village of Petra, Lesvos during early October. Few tourists, great weather, low prices. If you want a more traditional and Greek experience then head for the back streets. Even the tourist strip is OK since most tourists have left.

I stay in molyvos (five minutes drive from Petra) every august and it isn’t overly busy and most of the tourists that visit are from the Greek mainland.

Nice video but have you been to Petra in other months? Because its not a party village . The prices are the same and al traditional. And its never overcrowded...

This is the first time I was on Lesvos so can't comment on other times of the year. I go to Greece in early October when there are far less tourists and there's a more "Greek" atmosphere. I'm heading to the Peloponnese in Oct. 2020!

@@tomk2853 There is a permanent "Greek atmosphere" on Lesvos it isn't at all touristy any time of year .

All tavernas are very authentic on Lesvos

'Pushing and shoving tourists'. Really? We've been going for almost twenty years and have never seen that. It's a working village. Why do you have a problem with the front? It's a small resort and the people who run the apartments, restaurants and bars are lovely. Do you not regard yourself as a tourist? And the prices are not high in tavernas and bars by the sea. Unless you think 2.50 for a large glass of wine (or less) is high. I rather think you needed to speak to locals. I'd be very interested to see what they would make of this film.
