After passing the little taverna, you saw the sign (that shows the direction for a πηγη - spring) and you turned left. But if you hadn't turned left and just had moved like 10 more meters straight, you would eventually have been at the Orthodox church and enjoyed probably the most breathtaking panoramic view of the Aegean sea!!! You were too close!

you are so with this magic island, dear friend... that you were walking and made this film.... I am Greek, my mother had born in Tinos, now I am exploring that crazy, incredibly beautiful island. And I am worried that we Greeks do not know the beauty of our own country... Add the jealousy some bastard politicians from abroad feel about us because of the intelligence of ancient Greeks and all that miracle they produced.......................

Tinos turned out to be gem of an island, much better than I thought! Some of the villages including Kardiani were among the most beautiful I've ever experienced in all my travels to Greece. Both sets of grandparents immigrated from Greece in the early 1900s and I learned from an early age what it means to be Greek, even though a Greek-American. I fell in love with the country on my first trip and now go back every year. Paradoxi Paragraphs, even though Greece is going through some difficult economic times, you have a beautiful country, great history and beautiful culture. Be proud to be a Greek!

alistair young: I was there in early October, 2017 and it's very easy to find. When in Tinos get a map . . . it's clearly marked on the map. Take the road west from Tinos Town along the south west coast. I don't remember if there was a sign for it but it's a left, down a concrete road. The road is a bit steep but very drivable. Park in the lot and enter the village. It is truly amazing and may be the most Greek Village I've ever been to!
