It has been a like a journey for me to fall in love with your content. Initially I was just watching a rabbit video but the way you express yourself and help viewers understand is just amazing, the way you give details about everything you do, the way you are realistic all the time. Trust me this is kind of a therapy for all the people wanting to homestead but can't afford to. All your dogs, bunnies your husband and all of us are really blessed to have someone like you Please keep making videos for us Thanx
WE do very similar almost exactly. But do not mix in dry kibble.. The dogs thrive on the raw homegrown diet.. Not to mention less poo in the yard. well done!.. Love your videos thank you!
Oh my goodness the baby bunnies are adorable. I just breed one of my doe’s to my male today. So excited to see what they make and to see Avia be a mom. She is the sweetest bunny.
Greetings from a few hours away in St Paul, IN. Love your videos! Just bought my first rabbits to breed for this reason as well, dog food. Your videos have helped tremendously, thank you!!
New subscriber! I have New Zealand/Californian cross but am about to purchase Silver Fox rabbits, two does, and a buck. This channel is gold and a wealth of info, as this whole raising rabbits for meat thing is new to me. I've been binge watching 😊
I love your videos! So helpful. This will be great for anyone who has extra large guardian breeds too. We have a blue heeler lol. We haven’t gotten into all the critters I want to get into yet, but this is definitely being saved into one of my playlists on here so I have this in my toolbelt for later. Thank you for this video.
I have a question. If the babies get so much larger with a smaller litter, would the best thing to do (meat only purpose ) is cull some kits? Obviously when working to develop the next breeders, one would not want to do that, but for other litters, would that be best? TIA God Bless
You should invest in a 50lb tilt meat mixer. Kinda pricy but it'd pay for itself in time and effort. Made with meat has one but they want $500 for it, maybe check around on black friday.
Hello! Enjoy your show and I am going t start making your recipe for my German Shepherd. Could you possibly link more info about your grinder, nothing comes up with your Weston Pro grinder info given on Amazon. Thank you! Jim
I love seeing more small farmsteaders because the animals are so much better taken care of and often loved like family! Even ones that end up nourishing a family in the end had such a happier life than the poor ones doomed to a large scale operation. I also have meat rabbits and treating them well and knowing they'll have a calm end is a blessing for me.
I would feed the kibble separately! If there is something wrong with the kibble your dog might not eat it but if it’s mixed with the raw they may not know. I had a mini dachshund and a Doberman, I always mixed pumpkin and rice with their food, Dobie didn’t eat it but my little doxie did and died the next day. Too much vitamin D in the food and she died b4 we could get to the vets😢. 5 other dogs were at the vets, all of them died.
Your video is very informative. Thank you. Was that locust pods that the goat was eating in your intro? We have some trees and were wondering if we could use them with our animals.😊
@@TealStoneHomestead LOVE your dog food regime!! Mine’s a medical diet and supplements are critical, one thing I read when tweaking it that was interesting was selenium, apparently it’s low in dog food generally and low in raw diets as it’s mainly in fur and feathers. You need very little. Apparently deficiency is linked to CCL (knee ligament) issues which seems a common issue. Very nice content! 😊
Only thing i would minus the rice and add some other secreting organs like kidney, spleen, pancreas, ect. Along with the liver to help balancing out but this is great i definitely recommend for anyone looking to do raw to talk with a canine nutritionist with the proper qualifications and schooling and/or a vet who specializes in nutrition to ensure your dogs diet is properly balanced and not destroying their health
@@yogsothoth5370 I studied canine nutrition and animal sciences spinach is perfectly fine for dogs when prepared correctly it should be Steamed then pureed for optimal digestion and nutrients absorption many vegetables and greens have to be prepared in the same matter as dogs don't have the necessary enzymes to break down the cellulose so that work has to be done for them or feeding green tripe also aids as it has the cellulose already broken down
@@snorkiefilms9457 You're missing the critical component of "but why?" Why do all that just to be able to feed a leaf to a carnivore for zero benefit to the dog? I suspect the answer might be because it makes childless people feel more like they're taking care of their "babies."
@yogsothoth5370 dogs are facultative carnivores meaning they can benefit from non animal products aswell meaning they do actually benefit from fruits and vegetables like many other animals as they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants while in the wild they would receive their veggies/fruits and other vegetation from eating the intestines and stomach of their prey who have the necessary enzymes to break down the cellulose so yes they actually do benefit from it and it's not like it's a majority of their diet it's only about 10% of their diet
Just please be aware that if you are only feeding rabbit and rice, this diet is severely lacking in many nutrients. Deficiencies happen over time, not right away. I want my dogs to be in good shape in their old age so I try to meet all of their nutrient requirements 😊
Shame on you for spending that kind of money on an animal. You could help a working, poor family, food, shoes / boots for children. These animals are your idol. You will answer to God.

What a very insensitive comment. She is raising food for her family without all of the chemicals used in commercial processes. She knows exactly what is in the feed and the humane process of culling her heard! Unlike most people who get their food from the store which came from very inhumane stockyards, she is sharing her journey for people to learn from and does a superb job. She is helping her family and others which is more than you have done with your nasty comment, practice what you preach!

High quality kibble is a good safety net to be certain the dogs were getting all the nutrients they need.

You can definitely tell the size difference!!
Right??

Thank you for sharing, this will inspire me to make raw dog food for our two dogs and are many cats. Till next time God Bless.
I would LOVE to work up to doing this one day. ❤️

Frost already 😫 good vibes from GA!! I dont even like the winters here 😂😂😂
I KNOW 😭 Not ready for winter. But admittedly it’s been quite mild so far.
I love making my dogs food!
I hope your pets enjoy their life well ! They are created by Lord Jesus!

Yes! They seem to like them 😊 the goats are typically pretty smart about things they should and shouldn’t eat.
and now i am hungry...
Great video. I was wondering with the bones in the raw dog food would they also benefit from collagen?
Absolutely, there’s a lot of collagen in the joints! Some people throw in chicken feed to their dog food. There’s a LOT of collagen in those 😊

Good Job! But you are crazy. No offense. I'm just blown away by your abundant resources. Great video! Well done.
LOVE THIS! I would like to ask would this also work for feeding cats?
Absolutely! Though I don’t have much knowledge of supplements cats would need. I know that we were feeding Mirin whole quail when we had them 😊

If a "canine nutritionist" tells you to put spinach or any other kind of leaf in your dog's food, get out of there as fast as you can!

Do you keep pelts ? If so how do you do them ?
What do you use the dwarf rabbits for ? Are they dog food ?

White spots on a Creme are a DQ from showing.
What is the HP on the one you have?
Nais vidios
Do y'all think the the kits are growing faster because they have more of their mother's resources due to the smaller litter? That is my guess.
You don’t include stomach/intestines for dog food?
I do not
Why not put 2 from one litter and add to the other so they both have 6?
Could I just do rabbit and not the other meats?
Love watching your videos but I hate the music. Would rather not hear anything

Lost all credibility when you added rice to your dog food 😢👎🏻
Grain is not the enemy. Especially with my GSD. “Feed the dog in front of you.”
Some grains are healthy for dogs, others are not. Rice is actually very good for your dog.
Corn is the real problem in dog food…not healthy grains
You’re sick
