- Cameron Hanes made a trip to Hawaii to commemorate those lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor by doin a 50 mile ruck march, followed by a run up Diamond Head. After putting his body through hell he decided to forgo rest and fling some arrows with me🔨

Nice, I met Cam on a morning hike where he runs practically every day in his home town. I had my hunting pack on (im a big dude 6' 1 300 lbs ) and I was struggling at the top and he comes up behind me, takes his ear buds out and started yelling words of encouragement. Dude is not a human, running backwards up the hill with me. I think he had already done a few miles that morning and he was basically just sprinting up the hill like a gazelle, only slowing down to yell "you got this" "Its only far in your head" etc.

Cam is a legend and inspiration to many.. I started bow hunting back in 2014 his videos on TH-cam is what inspired me to become the bowhunter I am today.. along with being an absolute nut about turkey hunting to where I now have a TH-cam channel for my custom made turkey pot calls I make..

Always great to see guys in the archery world. Hanes has always been going a mile a minute none stop. Must have been awesome to get to spend some time on the range with him. Wghen I worked in an archery shop I got to meet a bunch of people and it was all great.If you ever get the chance go to the ATA show. Get with your archery shop to see if he gets invites.

How the heck can a guy shoot so much and not have tendon/muscle issues. I shot a lot this last year and developed Tennis Elbow horrible
I shoot almost every day. I’m pulling 65 lbs, and I shoot a minimum 20 arrows, some days maybe double that and on range days; between 50 to 80 on average. At home, I always warm up by going through the motions of drawing a bow with exercise bands attached to an exercise rack with both arms. I also push forward, mimicking pushing against my bow. I also use the bands to do some standard biceps curls / triceps extensions. Not long, probably between 5 to 10 min max. Just enough to get some blood in there and warm stuff up. I have a background in athletics and have been doing this stuff my whole life, though I only picked up a bow approx 8 yrs ago, as therapy I might add, after a motorcycle accident. For the record, I’m now 67. Keep going lad!
