hey buddy when are you going to start racing? I used to know a guy here that built and worked on I the yamaha 1300cc engines that guys ran in a car similar to the legends cars but a little smaller.
So curious about these engines/transmission when there put into a micro sprint. Do you still have to shift or are they like a regular midget/sprint car with direct drive and no shifting
So theres different classes of cars they can be direct drive & some will retain the clutch & gear box, the micros remain & some guys will shift it & some will leave it in one gear

I would like to get into it at some point and Ive been watching as many videos and reading as much info as I can on the cars and clases. I was curious about if you shifted them or if they were direct drive cause it just looked like they werent shifting gears or I couldnt tell that they were shifting in videos Ive watched. This is why I commented. In your opinion do you think most of the cars are changed to direct drive. Again thanks for replying back. Would love to see more videos about anything you do with your micro especially when it comes to building or working on the car.
Hi i have a R6 with snapped exhaust manifold, they told me I have to drop the engine, then drill it out , i think I couldnt do it by myself, is it difficult to drop the engine from R6 then put it back for a beginner? cheers mate
You can drill it out or if you have access to a welder weld a nut to the end that's broken then h Turn it out. The engine removal is easy theres just alot of wiring & bracket to move out of the way
full rebuild is around 600 is parts on the cheap side. If you completely get it redone your looking at from 1k to 4k but that low compression i would check your valve lash the is really bad compression maybe a valve staying open or a bad valve
@@MikesBigBlock for some perspective on it, the previous owner did a cat delete/unpacked stock slip on/unofficial exup delete(kept the cables attached but detached it from the exup motor). So when I pulled the plugs 3 of the 4 were melted IN. Bike now wont give gas when revved but before there was a delay in throttle response, you would twist it back, and the rpms would spike about 2 seconds later and then hold at the spiked rpms until dieing down and then the engine would cut out.

@@joem8986 could be a couple things the if you have a bad valve could case that but you have low compression on 2 cylinders could be a bad headgadket have you performed a leak down test to see that will tell u were u problem is.
@@MikesBigBlock well i took it to a bike shop and they told me the bike just needed a valve adjustment, then i get a call saying i need a new engine because of low compression. Which doesnt make sense to me.

Nice video. Goes to show its alot of work. I just get mine off of very low miled crashed bikes instead of rebuilding.

Is there a place where you can plug into for a external manual oil pressure gauge?
Yes there is a silver allen head plug on both sides of engine case that is you main oil feed rail you can install a npt there

@@ghettohey2388 most guys including myself shift them on the starts gets the motor going quicker, when racing we almost never shift unless we stop
Is there a way to remove the pistons without splitting the cases ?
you can but it is extremely hard because all the engine oil pluming & main bearing cases are in the way.
how did the honing go? did you have to replate the cylinder?
normally you can use a hone & lightly hone it but in this case the cylinders had to be redone due to #1 being a deep grove into the nikasil coating

How much was this whole job? I've got an 08 R6 with a compression of 40/50/160/150
