I did the front and rear on my 2015 Roadglide Special back in 2015 for the Sturgis, SD bike rally trip. I rode over 4,000 miles on just that trip alone. A year later, I had a failure on one of the rear ones and Legends replaced it immediately without glitch. They have a great customer service there and I couldn’t believe how fast the returned shipment was. So with the combination of the 110 Screaming Eagle Tire Shredder Engine kit and Legends Shocks it made all the difference that I love the ride so much and have decided to keep the bike to this day. After more than 20,000 miles the Legends are still going strong.
Although I agree, Harley cant fit everyone with good quality shocks, and please all people. And, these shocks sit 1/2" higher than stock. To you, that may not be a big deal. But, to us, inseam challenged people, it does. I JUSt put Legends on my bike, and love them. That being said, even with the 12" ones, I am up on the balls of my feet. To maximize their customer base, and, thusly, their profit, they would want to put on the best general purpose shocks, that will fit the widest audience. Thats my $0.02 anyway.
I installed the same 13” gold color on my 2019 SG Special 114ci. Did about 4K mi on stock suspension and it was total trash. I also upgraded my saddle to mustang super touring and shield to Klock Werks 10in. Those 3 upgrades made my ride just perfect. Suspension, saddle, wind shield are just amazing. Did 1k mi in one day last year no problem. Did 1.5K mi trip in 2 days 2 years ago and no issues. Going to Yellowstone in a month. 2.2K mi in 3.5 days. We are ready 🙏🏽
I just installed 13 inch gold heavy duty revo A on my 2021 SG,I could not be any happier! Peeps just make sure you select the proper spring rate and adjust until u have a 1 inch sag. Do not waste your money on buying a high dollar seat 1st. Buy a set of Revo A. You wont be disappointed! I ride solo half the time which im around 300 lbs and my girlfriend is 250 lbs and i did not need to adjust the spring for riding double with or without tour pack also. Set it and forget it,no more bottoming out what so ever! You have to go with the 13 inch for more shock travel. Dont get me wrong a short shock made my bike looked sexy but my back sure didn't.
I agree with every word. I put a set on my 2010 RG which replaced a set of Progressive 944s and they were a rocket shot better. When I got an ‘18 RG I put the legends on and realized right away it is not hype. The Legends do come up on top.
I had Ohlins rear remote reservoir shocks installed on my 2022 Roadglide Limited this past weekend. Absolutely game changer & worth every penny! I’m gonna do the front fork cartridges done over the winter . I’m sure Legends are great too.
I have 2018 streetglide and i put the legends on front and RS-1 on back. The backs went on first and exposed how bad fronts were. So did fronts and have been very happy. No diving when stopping and very stable in corners. Your video is very good but please let everyone know the difference in front diving and back/rear bucking. U nailed the expensive upgrade but i think this was better for me than engine upgrades.
Have a seat custom-made for yourself there’s nothing soft out there. It’s all subpar no matter who makes it. I bought progressive 944 shocks. They’re OK.
I just sold my 2022 Street Glide ST. To increase their lean angle HD fits the stock ultra rear shocks to the ST for more travel and a softer ride. I loved them! They're a little longer than the stock Street Glide Special rear shocks. Now I have a 21 Street Glide CVO with the shorter SGS rear shocks and the ride on the ST was absolutely sublime compared to my CVO. Potholes and road imperfections can be bone shattering on the CVO. I didn't want to spend the money on aftermarket shocks but I can't find a stock set of 20-22 ultra takeoff's for sale anywhere. I guess Legends is my only option.
Suspension should be the first thing we ever address on any and all Harleys. Of course we get pipes and an air cleaner first, but suspension really does make it a different bike all together.
I put legends on my ultra low on mine also. It’s just a shame that I payed $35,000 for a bike that should came standard. That’s why I will not ever buy a new bike. Buy used so someone else has replaced all the substandard equipment.
I’ve noticed a lot of leaking from legend revo a model usually at the dampening adjustment. Mine dropped a five inch puddle the very first time I sat on it after the leak developed. Thanks for the info! I definitely think the front suspension on our Road Glide Limited is too soft. Would like different suspension but it will probably be a while before I am able to do it.
really? you find the 412's that much better on your road glide? i had put the 412's on my '89 ultra and my '07 eglide classic. i also put the progressive springs in the fork on both and thought it was night and day difference in the suspension . when i got my '19 eglide standard i felt the stock suspension was so much better than the suspension on the '07. but then i get into reading a lot of this and folks say that it sucks. all relative i guess. initially when i bought the 412's it was a budget issue. it is really interesting to hear that you find the 412's that impressive. did you use the standard or the HD?
@@BT-ih6kr I ordered the standard springs and the big difference I’m feeling in ride comfort comes mostly from the additional 1” in available travel, I went from the 12” shocks they put on “special” models to the 13” 412 series, and 13” shocks are what the install on E glides from the factory, so it rides like a stock e glide in my opinion. I was thinking about Wilbur‘s but they want to thousand dollars for a set of $2100 for rear shocks but those are self-adjusting. You give them your weight they set them up and get out of touch him they self adjust to what you have a couple bumps. You can look them up there on TH-cam to expensive though I’d rather buy American. Anyway thanks man appreciate your time oh one more thing you just leave them on three that’s what I was thinking for the rebound I don’t even know if it’s worth by The better ones and I heard the piggy back I don’t like those maybe I should just get the basic ones because they’re already set on three. I don’t know giving myself a fucking headache with this shit. Well we’re off to Gettysburg the weekend I appreciate you getting back to me thanks man be safe have fun in the wind
I just installed legends Revo A's on the rear of my 2021 RGL. The Legends are better than stock, but I don't think they are a $1000 better. Im just not feeling a drastic difference. My springs are hard as fuck to turn to adjust sag. I was told to use oil on the threads and jack up the rear of the bike up. How do you like Legends Aexo on the front? I was told it drops the front end 1 inch.
I am with you 1000% on that one. HD really does sell you a bike that needs upgrades right off o the showroom. Glad I got mine used for a great price before that market went nuts.
I just emailed Legend, my question was sometimes I run into low spots on the road I can't avoid. Causing me to bottom out hard I just installed my 13"Revo A's exactly how I was supposed to. Do you have the issue of bottoming out hard . If you do is there something I can do to avoid it other than avoiding the low spots. I like the shocks better than the stock Harley davidson shocks , but I need to stop relocating my spine.
@@BryTheBiker Two , I tried three but noticed very little difference. I honestly noticed a difference between Harley and Legend. The lege are much smoother and quite pleasant when dips are not around.
@@BryTheBiker got them installed, if u get +2” front u need +2” fork tube covers. Feels way better I don’t have that front dive when I brake. I don’t scrape my floor boards everywhere. Still trying to get everything fully dilated in
Finding these a little overrated and overpriced. I have Revo A 13 inch on my Dyna. After you set the sag there is only about 1 and 1/2 in of travel left when you hit a bump in the road. Less than stock. Yes the shock can dip down about the same amount for potholes. But not enough travel for impact. Additionally it is a major pain in the ass to adjust these shocks if you have additional weight. Turning One shock is not too bad but for some reason the other shock is near impossible. Overall it improved my bike's right by about 50%. Not sure It was worth $1,000.
@@BryTheBiker They don’t except phone calls anymore. Only email and they do respond quickly. They said it is typical that some are hard to turn and advised to use oil but then to be sure to completely remove it after the adjustment or put he bike on a lift. A lot of work for a quick adjustment so I can take my daughter for a ride. I do want to say they do ride nice and much better than stock.
Dang , I Installed mine last weekend. I hit a couple of low spots and crap , my upper back got jolted big time. I just emailed Legend, they don't have phones. My question was what the heck did I do wrong. Why am I bottoming out so violently. It only been a day , hopefully I hear back soon . If this is it the shocks are not worth $1000.00 bucks . Thats why I changed my harley stock shocks . Tired of bottoming out so hard .

I’m from Pennsylvania like we’re going to Wyoming we got it Tennessee every year I can do that ride in eight hours 500 miles. I like my bike a lot of good protection in the rain yeah I’m a bat wing kind of guy always have been. Yeah I weigh 270 she’s 120 maybe 50 pounds of luggage let’s still put asunder I don’t want to get to Stiff. LOL that’s not what she says ha ha ha ha just kidding. Yeah I just figured it out here even with 75 pounds of luggage I’m still at 465 and that’s good to hear you just leave it sent once you find your happy place. Cool appreciate you getting back to me I think I’m gonna go with the softer ones I can always go up on the preload I would imagine I tried to call Legend‘s they don’t answer the damn phone.
I love the way the bike doesn’t nose dive as hard with them in the front
I just made the same mods on both frt /back suspension on 20 R.K. it is a lot better ride.
Really changed the bike
But in order to "dial in" the front suspension the front end needs to be disassembled every time.
I found mi e to be set and forget but everyone is different.
Thanks for great review can’t wait to install mine soon
Glad I could help! I think you will be very happy!
@@BryTheBiker thanks I really like your vids would be cool to meet one day and do episode from our meeting
@@RidersUnited where are you located?

For the price of a bike it should come with a decent suspension. It’s sad you can spend more in upgrades than what a bike is worth.
I don’t recall ever having that issue. What rebound setting are you on?
@@BryTheBiker Two , I tried three but noticed very little difference. I honestly noticed a difference between Harley and Legend. The lege are much smoother and quite pleasant when dips are not around.
Well stated.
Thank for watching :-)
I got mine coming tomorrow, I hope I feel the same 💪 🤣
Nice! Keep me updated!
Interesting. I found grabbing the springs I can adjust them easily. I would give them a call they where great when I had questions.
You might need the heavy duty springs
just ordered revo a for my rocket
Very nice! You will love them!
I need to do this, eventually lol
Do it!!!!!!!!

I love my legends, front and rear.
I took the rears to the new bike and I really need to get the fronts done soon.
