The best Street Fighter OST for me without a doubt. It's a pity that, while Capcom managed to somehow revive the franchise with the latest games, their soundtracks pale in comparison to gems like those of Alpha 2.
It's a bitter sweet joy listening to the music. Brings back certain memories of my teenage years. Especially the time of 1997 when I was 14. That was the time you could see the comet Hale-Bopp in the sky. I played this game with a friend I went to school with. We played a lot of games at that time. At the beginning of 1998 my friend moved away and we never saw each other again. Now 24 years have past and every now and then I wonder how he did in life, where's he at right now... So every now and then I look up stuff like this video on TH-cam and bathe in memories.
i never understood why ryu fought sagat in australia?. did they both just one day say 'screw it lets fight in australia for no reason''. and did they both sit together on the plane ride over? so many questions.....
Man alpha 2 is definitely one of my favorites i own a physical copy for every console it came out on. The saturn version is definitely the best home port of it compared to the ps1.
Well it was pretty much one of the main reason for me to get a CPS2 modded with a darksoft multi and a supergun setup. The saturn port comes extremely close (I especially like the arranged OST of the CD versions), but I really enjoy the instant loading of the CPS2 version.
My all-time favorite Street Fighter. So fun. The SNES version is an unlikely but impressive release. Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma (it is actually possible to play as the latter in the SNES, as a newly discovered hidden cheat is found) are fun uses.
@@edrollagigraioe3391 Dang right it was. It is so satisfying when you successfully catch the opponent and see Akuma tear him down with 15 hits in just 1 second, attacking so fast you can't even see what's going on. Makes me laugh every time.
Oh MAN how I wish Cody debuted in Alpha 2 just so we could’ve seen how drastically different he might have been from his Alpha 3 incarnation. Especially curious about what Final Fight track they’d give him.
I actually got into this version when I was in college cuz I never had it. Got it on the SNES for the Wii and yeah it was Jack for the round start but other than that it was perfect.
Yeah, Alpha 3 was quite a downgrade. Worse music, less pleasant visuals, and the screen felt crowded as hell. Might just be me but the handling felt worse, too.
Thanks for the upload. I haven't played the game yet but the music comes off as woefully low energy. A lot of the instruments used are also inappropriate.
Me after the opening theme: STREET FIGHTER ALPHA! 2!
Same.
I just did the same thing!
Best opening title announcement that has ever been made. Dude’s voice is Legendary. I load up this game just to hear it
I rise a hand on that.
Literally just did this. Hahaha! This game rules!!!
after 26 years still great to listen to
sakura theme really bring back ol memories =)
I'm a Sagat main AND a drummer, and the rhythmic complexity of his ost remains godlike to this very day! Cowbell from heaven, lol.
Yes, its pure máster piece Sagat theme.
The crossover between music and martial arts is beyond words. SF OSTs always managed to get that across.
we need more cowbells!
TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER
TIGER UPPERCUT
Drummer here aswell. I love how fighting games helped me learn dexterity and rhythms while also ear training with good OST's
Charlie theme still rocks! If we look back with Alpha 2 CAPCOM just arrived at the top of a golden age

I like player select music .
incredible soundtrack, so glad to have grown up with this game at home. underappreciated gem of the entire SF series for sure!
Yes sir, alpha 2 was absolutely perfect where 1 was a bit small and 3 was a bit much.

You might be able to refind him with Facebook.
I second the observer’s comment! Check up on them!

Capcom, why don’t you bring back this quality? I’m a lifelong sf player, and this game is still my go-to game…
superb 90's feelings
That bassline on kens theme is nice and chunky 😍 i bet these dudes had loads of fun playing that theme
Such a goated soundtrack for the best SF game of all time, the entire OST has such an immaculate vibe to it. This is peak 90s Capcom at their best.
32:00 the best ost.
Yes.
a bit megamanish
@@bbarrera86 play it at 1.25 and it’s basically a mega man x track
agree
sagat dont like this
2:07:00 to 2:14:36 - The Breath Of Fire 3 vibes, frens. It's real. I miss the old Capcom's ost.
😭😭😭
8 years old me being a Guy main fighting my dad an Adon main on the playstation, good times !
Thanks for uploading
You're welcome.
Guy of the bagos.
Da hora ouvir essas músicas dinovo que nostalgia 😭😭
Peak 90's. no question

I grew up playing the SNES version. We all gotta start somewhere...
@@ShoRyuBarbie SFA2 on SNES is actually an impressive looking game for the hardware in 1996.

could never decide which one i liked better- charlies or birdies theme
Charlie's theme is the GOAT

Roooound 1 Fight..............
(Fight begins)
raging demon is really fun to use in older games

@@HyperSonicXtreme The delay never bothered me. That is the only version of the game I played as a kid and to this day.
Mine too!
Best Ryu theme from the Alpha/Zero trilogy!
better than Alpha 3 ost
My favorite game
Yes!! Feb. 16, 2023
Thank you!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Charlie Nash OST resembles a lot the style of the OSTs from Megaman X1, X2 and X3.
Alpha 1 was simply too small, alpha 3 feeling was way too mechannical. But Alpha 2, oh it is just on point.
Fr Fr
Ken, Birdie, Dan, Sakura, Zangief, and Rolento are the best tracks
32:02 the mega man X vibe is here
I actually got into this version when I was in college cuz I never had it. Got it on the SNES for the Wii and yeah it was Jack for the round start but other than that it was perfect.
Love Rose's theme. I only wish it was a bit longer. Excellent OST from my personal favorite fighting game in the Street Fighter gaming series.
me too
I like all the characters in the series but Rose/Lucia are my waifus and Dan is my favorite (least favorite character is Rufus)
36:24 The Best Theme of Street Fighter Alpha 2, Theme of Rose is Marvelous
The best: Charlie theme
Street fighter is my life
2:17:03 why does this sound different from the Sega Saturn staff roll 3 ? Is it because it’s on CPS ? It sounds different from what I can recall
Best soundtrack of all the alpha games, alpha 1 was pretty good and alpha 3 was forgettable
Yeah, Alpha 3 was quite a downgrade. Worse music, less pleasant visuals, and the screen felt crowded as hell. Might just be me but the handling felt worse, too.
Alpha 3 had a few gems though, Vega, Chun-Li, and Cammy are pretty damn good themes.
@@oktusprime3637 Man forgot Karin's theme
Alpha 3 had shit music, I do not know what they were thinking but it was a big reason I could not get into it like I did Alpha 1 and 2.
@@ricsim78 Nigga, what the hell you talkin bout? Alpha 3 had bangin music.
this is cool
Adon theme is amazing. And too short. It shoul last a little more!
best soundtrack for the best game in the saga
listening in 2022
Best ost's for the best SF game
Nostalgia
Ken, Sagat and Sagat Vs Ryu themes are the best
I believe the Bison Stage is Venezuela instead of Brazil.
that opening could convince me to get drafted

Akuma's track eclipses everyone else's
Naaa... Its great but there are so many great ones also.
SFA2 ost >>>>>>>>>>> SF3A ost
The game is better too :D
Amo

Adon Thailand is the most rockin
Just hearing this to cleanse the palate after hearing SF6's garbage soundtrack.
The soundtrack is exactly the same as alpha 1
oi boa noite😚
