#EasyAllies #HallOfGreats
The sniff out became a meme, but I find it incredibly wholesome the Blood took it upon himself to actually play MML and ended up voting for it :)
We know why now.... :(
Mad respect to Blood for respecting Kyle's passion and giving his game a fair chance.
this comment has become tragic
@@malcolmcooke7131 Not really, still very nice thing for Blood to do. Still mad respect. There is an element of
melancholy to it now though.
Gotta say, this presentation of Megaman Legends sold me more than any of the previous ones. I was actually hoping for it to win.
GIVE IT ONE!!!
I think it's more likely to get in when Capcom drop a Legends collection or something so more the Allies are willing to give it a go.
It made me want to play the game. Sadly the physical version is super expensive, but maybe I could settle for a digital release this time.
Brad:"What's the deal with Cherry Pie in that game? That song sucks"
Huber without skipping a beat: "That song SUCKS"
They're just always on the same wavelength
Hey Allies,
as someone who is actually in a locked down country (Italy), working from home and hasn't met another person in the flesh in 5 days, I can't tell you how happy I am in knowing that I'll have an entire week of EZA content to keep me company.
Thanks for sniffing this out!
L&R
This is my favorite show that Easy Allies does. By far.
100% agree. Sucks Casanova missed it this time.
@@NetConsole I KNOW!! I posted this before I started watching. He's a lot of the reason it's so good!
Jones presentation made me nostalgic for a time I never even experienced.
50:40 for THE SNIFF :)
I haven't played Brandon's Pick and have no affinity for it, and he sold it so hard I probably would've voted for it. Kyle's too. One of these days I should pull a Blood and sniff Kyle and play his pick.
1:42:49 Huber commenting on the socks instead of listening to Kyle and asking him to repeat a few seconds later lmao
Wholesome moment
Bloodworth did that out of respect for Kyles departure I feel like.... Im not crying, you are :(
that was pure love&respect!!
First Brad started giving Mega Man Legends points and now Blood has seen the light...Two more years and enough of the boys will finally be in support of the game to get it in.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure it'll get nominated anymore :(
@@Heelincal12 Maybe Blood will carry the torch; I feel like the problem is that none of the other allies have actually played it. It's one of the problems with the Hall of Greats format, most of the allies don't really vote for best presentation but whatever they personally like best, so if they haven't played something it might get some pity votes. Someone needs to make them play that came before it next comes up.
Ian's process was brilliant, I realized what was happening right away and got excited.
One of my favorite things about Doom: enemies will get angry at each other and attack each other. More games should do that, particularly Souls
Yea I think it's commonly referred to as "infighting". I've only seen it done in a handful of games (like in Halo when the flood go after covenant enemies) and it's pretty awesome.
Agreed. There are some occasions where enemies attack each other in the souls series, but they’re usually scripted sequences.
Kyle was 100% correct on smash ultimate. The game should not exist and is taken for granted.
It’s an actual gem
Absolutely. I don't play Smash but the fact that it exists is incredible. It's like a best of compilation album for videogames.
@@Largentina. it exist and has for over a decade best seller on switch
@@MrXmoda No shit. Your point?
This might sound elitist but I think some allies perception have been tainted by the whacky free-for-all items on party game matches they have done, when playing that game like an actual fighting game is just infinitely more enjoyable IMO.
Jones' presentation was a great.
"I sniffed you."
Legendary moment right there.
50:52 Ian's voice coming out of Jones' mouth
You guys are exactly what I need right now! I nice break. I appreciate you guys so much for the joy and and a chance to unwind. You’re part of the good in the world, all the love!
41:13 - Jones letting that word soak in
There needs to be a bet between Blood and Kyle and the loser has to fix the winner an apricot pie.
Everyone's reaction throughout Jones' presentation was absolutely hilarious - especially Hubert's at one point where he thrashes about in anticipation and joy.
God, that was awesome to watch - even after the first time. :)
This is my favorite thing you guys do. Keeping giving me your passion for these games. Thank you.
Yessssss! This is my favorite Easy A "show". Can't wait to watch it over the next few days.
17:00 Cherry pie?
29:24 Glutton for punishement
50:00 Not enough time for combat but...
50:39 Kyle has been Blood sniffed, Stick for the pie 51:30, 2:27:07
1:07:23 Mikamiani
2:25:10 And the winner is... (Spoilers)
Jones' presentation was excellent. The creative and quirky ones are always a joy to experience!
Well Ian did a great job this time and his game is in my opinion clearly one of the great.
But the top 2 ones deserved to win.
50:40 "Kyle, I sniffed you."
Bloodworth the Bloodhound!!
I haven't seen who wins yet, but you've sold me on MML Kyle. It looks gorgeous.
i honestly thought ian's presentation was leading up to disco elysium
I can't believe no one's talking about how genius it was for Ian to trick everyone into nominating a game. He basically forced them to construct the argument for its inclusion.
This hits differently knowing Kyle's going... I'm holding back tears, geez....
Thanks, Allies. I really needed a new HOG today.
Kyle was right. It's not even just non-fans not liking the game, since Jones showed he understood it. People over the last year have grown to take "Everyone is here" for granted. It is so strange how people have totally forgotten how special the game is.
No knocks against the inductees though. They aren't for me, but they changed the industry by being pioneers for their genres.
Holy crap, Brandon, your story rekindled some long forgotten memories. Thank you!
If MML comes to Switch, I'm buying it day 1. Honoring Kyle!
same here man
NEVER give your audience an in Ian lol. Loved it!
1:34:08 that pause was EPIC Brandon :)
I bought and played Mega Man Legends on PS1 because of Kyle's love for it and now I like it a lot too! Thank you Kyle.
Now I wish he would play Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, because I think that it is a truly great and very special game.
No joke, I plan to grab Legends off of psn and fire it up tomorrow, all because of Kyle's persistence. He got me this time.
Regarding Nuts and Bolts... don't tell Brad, but I totally agree. That game is an underrated gem. I can still remember some of the vehicles it inspired me to build.
@@hisownsidekick
I love creating vehicles and making my own solutions, but honestly what I love most is Showdown Town, it is my favorite hub environment of all time. Making the vehicle levitate so that you can reach areas and Mumbo crates before you're supposed to be able to is great fun.
@@charoleawood Agreed; it's a fantastic hub. Colorful and fun and packed to bursting with things to find and do.
I felt like Ian was going for Mass Effect 2 with those questions, and was happy to see it on the list. I hope that someone actually brings it one day.
To me "Still Alive" isn't a song from Portal, it's that kick ass song from Mirror's Edge
Both songs are 10s
Well you then live in a life of delusion, because Still Alive is indeed the end credits song to Portal.
@@NetConsole
One person hears the name Miyazaki and thinks Princess Mononoke, another hears the same name and thinks Armored Core 4. One thinks a particular day most sacred, an other one thinks each day alike, let both be convinced in their own minds.
"Trash Butt Rock" is going to be a phrase that will come back to haunt Kyle Bosman one of these days.
Doubtful. He's right.
Bosman’s face when blood is listing the bands on GH. lmao
The Bloodhound sniffeth!
1:24:56 the emotions that Kyle goes through... I just cant man
I'm kinda glad I did Ian's thing before watching this. Might have coloured how I took the quiz if I saw it and the available options.
Damn the LAST HoG and Kyle couldnt get MGL in :(
Here I liked them all, but Ian’s was my favorite. He usually gives the most interesting presentations in the context.
Moment of the night is Huber freaking out during Jones´ pick! 1:34:12
Ian's socks are a force to be reckoned with.
It now makes sense why Blood decided to spend an entire weekend doing what he did. Sigh, best of luck Kyle!!!
51:30 in that moment Kyle knew he lost lmao
I'm glad EZA is finally doing thank yous to ppl that sub. I'm not sure if they do it on solo streams but I've been subbed for 24 months and got thanked a total of 2 times. There are other twitch channels with less ppl and more viewers that thank each and every person every time.
I say this every time. But just let the person finish answer questions plz. It's dumb to just cut them off. Give them 20 more secs.
I only just got to Ben's choice,I have been waiting for this to get at least a nom for a while. This makes me very happy! Also cool outcome!
Ian's presentation was actually really cool. It was the worst at making a case but it was very entertaining and still genuine (unlike some of his previous candidates...)
Now I understand Jones's face. He was sad and tired. because knew it is last Kyle video
Kinda disappointed Damiani couldn't defend TMNT4 better. The turtles have different stats and play pretty differently. Raphael is super fast but dies very quickly. Michaelangelo does the most damage per hit and has the highest defense, but his attacks are slower. Donatello has the longest range but the slowest foot speed. There are actually a ton of moves to use besides "attack and jump", like the dash slide, dash-flip-charge (which does twice the damage of a normal charge), 3 different jump attacks, etc. All of this is in the manual.
Great presentation Ian, that was clever.
Jones' acting background always puts him at an advantage.
Hahaha Kyle went Goldblum at 55:15. Love it. Gonna miss you, man
I did not yet watch this to the end and I'm not scrolling through the comments to avoid spoilers: But I really think Silent Hill 2 should be in there. This game is so incredible for so many reasons, and the ending touched me so heavily and resonated so strong with me.
Passion Award - Brandon Jones, Come At Me Award - Brad Ellis, Never Let Die Award - Kyle Bosmen, My Own Thang Award - Ian Hinck.... My personal pick for Hall of Greats is Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.
I don't know if deliberate, but this was a pretty casual Hall of Greats. People were defending other people's games, consistently chiming in when they weren't supposed to, etc.
It's fine if this is the new format, but you guys were very strict on your rules before and personally I thought the structure supported the segment.
#LR
lol at the amount of tall game logos this time, so they had to add a 2nd column. I love this segment every time it happens.
The voice crack at @2:38:17 Hurts man....Brandon is holding stuff together and everyone else. We are all so damn sad
Oh gosh..........suddenly that hit me, REAL hard.
Very happy to see that 1# place..well deserved! :D
Now knowing that Kyle is leaving, they all seem somber
Megaman Legends looks good for a 1997 game
I will miss you Kyle, you do what's best for you and rest assured our love will follow you.
It takes guts to leave what you know and the homeliness of EZA for the unknown.
I get what you say, pretending things where going to happen while you and the guys knew this was not the case.
All the best, all my love, good luck with everything.
Now that I know his leaving. Kyle is unusually quiet and restrained
I wish they would actually attack the games like they say they will at the beginning. The questions are always just a chance to talk about how much they love the game.
I love Survivor, I am one of the largest survivor fans
I can't believe it took someone this long to bring DOOM! Awesome that it one s spot thought.
Man, Kyle leaving is seriously gonna change the vibe. Luckily you guys all bring something unique to the table.
I think theres a good chance Blood will bring mega man legends in the future now that Kyle's leaving.
I'm going to miss Kyle doing this
Stealing the Statue of Liberty has to be the most '90s cartoon thing ever
Huber remains dedicated to newer releases, I appreciate it.
I continue to await the day Super Mario Galaxy makes it to the Hall of Greats.
It'll be mario galaxy 2 that will get in, almost a perfect video game imo
Can't argue with the ones that got in even if they weren't the ones that I would have gone for. Really liked that this one seemed much more casual and positive, especially liked the moments when someone would defend the game despite being in the counterargument section.
Spoiler:
I can kind of understand how Ian might not care about taking it seriously when you can bring an amazing game with a big legacy and still not get close to winning. I know it doesn't just happen to him and the ones that he was up against were very difficult but it must still take away enthusiasm for next time.
I don't think Blood went back and played Guitar Hero 2. It has a great setlist, but that's about it. 1 and 2 are jank supreme. 3 really did refine gameplay. All those games had crazy marketing in them btw. I'd like to see GH get in in some way for the legacy, though.
Yeah GH3 is better in every way imo.
4 is what got me into the series, and part of that is it’s the first one with 100% master tracks. 3’s really good but the covers kinda ruin some of it
@@Bman54X I get that. Honestly rock band 4 beats them all imo because it's enormous library of tracks and downloadable tracks although I'm a rock and metal guy so guitar hero's soundtracks were more my jam.
YES JONES!
EDIT: Bloodworth is a great himself. Watching this after Kyles announcement, it makes it even better.
I’m surprised no one brought up that most of GH2’s tracks are covers. That’s why I don’t like the early GH games
I think someone mentioned covers in the back couch but they didn't tell everyone else
Mike they only said how the first game had covers, but 1-3 all had covers. Wasn’t until World Tour that the games were only the master tracks
@@Bman54X I didn't know 3 had covers
Mike I think it was mostly the easier songs that were covers. The whole setlist is like 80% master tracks, 20% covers
Rock Band 2 is clearly the superior and THE definitive "plastic guitar/instrument" game and I hope it gets into the hall of greats someday.
Brad! I agree with you. Shovel Knight is an indie masterpiece and it will eventually be considered a great. I know it! I can't wait for you to bring in Hollow Knight next ;)
Where were all the yellow cards? This was chaos with everyone jumping in defending other allies picks
Hyped on Ben's pick. Been replaying it with my wife, and I think it may be in my top 10 ever.
That Jones pres really hit me in the feels. Also though Ian's was really unique/cool. My 2 picks won this time around, so feels good I guess
Finally another one of these. This time I didn't think every game were as strong as they usually are, but I digress. I also don't get the whole 0 votes = banned for a year, because there are only 4 of these a year. No one ever brings back a game within that time anyways.
Ian: "In order for so etching to be great it has to be good."
This is the most true thing I've ever heard
The backdrop on the window is really cool.
Mike & Mike have to do a stream where they both play TMNT Hyperstone Heist and Turtles in Time back to back!
Fantastic presentation Brandon. There should be a HOG for the presentations lol
How Silent hill 2 didn't win a place in the hall of greats is beyond me. By far the best horror game period.
Naa echo the dolphin takes that crown. Late game you journey deep under the sea until it's really dark and you come across a freaking alien! Even thinking about it now gives me the heebie jeebies
Because Ian is not very convncing. Oh well, at least it wasn't a 100% joke this time like his FF7 and MGS3 ones were.
Holy shit Ian, you outdid yourself
Man I want to watch some of the other allies play Megaman Legends. Hidden gem right there that no one takes seriously :(
The game seems to have lots of heart put in to the world and caracters. But I don't think it looks very good from a gameplay persective. Even AVGN made a reiew of it.
NetConsole I disagree, I think the gameplay is very good. And keep in mind that the second game isn’t as clunky as the first. Legends 2 has a legit lock on system. But both are still very enjoyable to play
This is actually an extremely solid list. The only game that is on there that I would question, is portal. Yes portal is a cool game. But when you look at it in contrast with all the other games on the list it really sticks out.
20:38 Wasn’t expecting that from Blood lol.
You can't listen to Damiani present the case for his pick and tell me he's not 12-years-old 😂
Where's Don?
