thats epic Dave, thanks for letting me know, its such a fun journey and Im sure you will love the process and the eventual results from your new found craft.. thanks for your input on here
With the wide angle GoPro I just use saliva. Spit on the lens a good 5-10 minutes before hitting the water thou. Its more effective than just doing it before you jump in
@@dreamlifephotography thanks mate. I do that for our dome housing thanks to your advice but wasn’t sure if you had a different technique for flat lenses. Thanks again 👍
@@TheSampsonFamily I do have a different technique for flat ports on my housing, but I don't use that wax technique for the GoPro, I found that spit works for the gopro okay
Hi mate, thanks for the info! Do you know if it records upside down ( mouth mount ) in quick capture?? Google said it wont, but i tried this morn & it seemed like it worked, bit i havent checked the footage.. 🤔🤷♂️
Thanks for the message Jamie. pretty sure there is a setting that you can dial in so the camera auto matically flips it the right way around. If it doesn't or you have already shot footage, then its super easy to get the right way around in post production.
@@dreamlifephotography cheers! It worked 👌 just need to press record early! As it takes a few seconds to start recording.. 😬🙈 got some good footage today 🙌🤙 hero 9 compared to the 3, is Amazing 😅🙏
@@jamiedwyer3619 epic!! Yeah there is a few seconds delay, but I prefer using the quick capture… footage off the later models is a lot better for sure!!!
Thanks Tom. Just starting my surf photography journey and "hopefully" your videos have helped me lots

awesome mate, thanks for your message.
Thanks Tom. Made a few tweaks to our GoPro to get the best out of it!! What’s your best advice to keep the lens clear of water droplets?
