Last Minute Halloween Costume | Divided man costume

Last minute costume for Halloween:
1. Extra large dress/khaki pants that when pulled up come up to about your armpits
2. Large shirt, also a second shirt (very close in color to go under this, short sleeved shirt so doesn't show).
3. You will want to find a pair of your own pants that are the same color as the large pants. You will need a belt that will fit around the waist of the large pants.
4. Find a small box, similar to the waist size of the pants, to fill in the waist and hip area of the pants. We just used a cardboard box we had laying in the garage.
5. Red fabric (small piece to cover the top of the box)
6. Your shoes or no shoes will work if you don't mind walking around barefoot
7. A small weight like a fishing weight to clip onto the shirt, I had used some clothespins

what's the purpose of the clothespins at the bottom of the shirt? is that just for weight to keep it weighed down? Wouldn't gluing some kind of weight (coins maybe) inside the shirt be less noticeable? and do you have to hold the pants up all night?

I think any shirt would work, as long it is long enough to give it that floating look on your torso. For the bottom, i would make it round to give it a more realistic approach, maybe add guts hanging from the bottom of your shirt and some on the torso. To give it a more bloody and gory appearance.
