Anyone else here excited to finally see Sylux, the pilot of that ship that was following Samus in this ending, finally be shown in today's Nintendo Direct?
I really like Admiral Castor Dane. Not only is he an involved leader, like when he goes with the Demolition Troopers down to the Pirate Homeworld, but it is rumored that Space Pirates had orphaned him at a young age, and as a result he seems to share an understanding and respect with Samus throughout the game. I REALLY hope he remains an ally to Samus post-Fusion!
I know it's been forever for MP4 talk and development...but I am hopeful they will do a phenomenal take on Metroid Prime again when it finally comes out...someday. I'd forgotten Sylux appeared at the end of Corruption, so this got my hopes up for MP4 again! I hope they incorporate a similar system to traveling to other planets, combining beams (like in older Metroid games, with the ability to disable certain ones for cool combinations), and an array of bounty hunter bosses again from Metroid Prime: Hunters. Ah...so nostalgic, this game!
That sequence where Samus gives a thumbs up to the player shows her with the Hyper Beam intact. Wikitroid says that it could be the last remaining Phazon in existence. It's likely however that because beams overlap each other in Corruption, Phaaze gave you the Hyper Beam permanently, so the last two scenes were still game play cut scenes. But the developers may have purposely chose to leave those scenes like that. In the ending, Samus is no longer seen with the Hyper Beam. So you could say instead that the other effects of the Phazon spore on Samus's body had eventually dissipated too by the time Samus was overlooking the horizon at SkyTown, Elysia. In other words, with the eradication of the origin point, Phazon is truly gone for good. Otherwise, the ending can still be used as a story element for the upcoming Metroid Prime 4, possibly as a way for the writers and developers to establish a new origin point for Phazon. Come to think of it, is that why Sylux was following Samus? To steal that last sample of Phazon? If they do something like that, that would be amazing.
Rose-shrouded Confessor no it’s just that when your on a hyper mode and a cutscene plays your arm canon will stay on the hyper beam for example ghor when or if you finished home in hyper mode samus shoots at the dark samus ghost but power beam shots show up not phazon based shots
wait a second a lot of leviathans HAVE been launched since Phaaze first came into existence if a planet's leviathan is not destroyed, eventually it will turn the impacted planet into a new Phaaze so Phazon still exists

Wait is painful but if they can put the selling feature of No Mans Sky into Metroid, they may have just made the best game ever. It's a 3D Metroid so will sell and be at least Good no matter what
I hung on to those anti phazon units for 5 minutes of the boss fight while 80% corrupted, just to get a lazer spawned on top of me. It left me on a sliver of "health" which made it even more painful knowing it would only take seconds to fill up.

If they try again, eventually they surpass the challenge. So don't go bragging around saying "I'm better and you suck" because clearly your not and there is that ONE GAME that you will struggle.

I just finished Prime 3 today. This series and the one Metroid discord server were the main reasons I was able to beat the game. This series was the easiest to follow. With their help and yours, I got the 100% ending. Thank you.
I've always thought that such epic games as this trilogy needed better endings, but anyways, those three games were perfect, and we are having MP4!!! I wouldn't have thought I could be so happy just by seeing a logo and hearing the MP intro, I literally cried

It is NOT confirmed. It is about 88% possible because Sylux and the others DID survive the explosion in the Ds game. Although he is alive, it could still be a new character who will be introduced. also Mp4 IS here. It came out in 2001. (i kno what u mean metroid prime 4) I repeat: it has NOT been confirmed.
kensuke Tanabe did confirm it back in E3 2015 that was sylux who was pilot of that ship. Plus The ending of Federation Force if you complete the bonus mission by getting one of the Metroid egg, sylux will break in the Federation force research station and device on his arm to hack the stasis tube containing a Metroid Egg, The camera then zooms out and their sylux.
The only thing that bugged me after finishing this game is figuring out how Samus' PED Suit + Hazard Shield reverted back to the Varia Suit...if I remember correctly, wasn't her Varia Suit damaged by Dark Samus when she attacked Samus and the other bounty hunters on Norion?
I believe that its both. Phazon stuff is done, but I believe that ship following her is going to be important. Taking into account how that Galactic Federation officer smiled at not having response from Samus, I think they've secretly sent a bounty hunter to take care of her, because even in the 2D Mainline Metroids it's shown that the Galactic Federation is not all good. Not to mention, that in one of this game's archives it's mentioned that the Luminoth (the aliens from Metroid Prime Echoes) were almost annihilated by space pirates, after Samus left, then the few survivors had no other choice but to join the Galactic Federation, very suspicious and convenient in my opinion.

You know what would have been better? If Samus never came back from the wormhole, so she was stuck in an unknown region of space, completely alone, and Metroid prime 4 could have been about her trying to find a way home and coming across a strange signal, maybe idk, the last survivors of the chozo that became evil or corrupted, or a completely new galactic threat she has to face alone
The events of super metroid are still far away, prime always had a story set apart from the 2d storyline so i don't think they are gonna make something tied to them. What they would probably do is play around the Prime 1 nostalgia, and what made prime 1 great was the feeling of isolation so letting her be completely alone and without help would have been great,
Metroid Prime 3 is the most anticlimatic game of the series. It never explained the relationship between the planet Phaaze and Dark Samus, why the death of Dark Samus ends up with the unstability and ultimately the destruction of the planet. What about millions of years ago before Dark Samus existed? Why should the stability of the planet has to rely on the well-being of the AU313? Why the destruction of Phaaze? Why not just and plainly make Phazon inert and dead and leave the planet alone? Do you realize how much energy and resources it takes to destroy a planet? I would've preferred the destruction of the planet to be taken by the GF vi means of a super weapon or something. It just doesn't make sense. It seems as if the whole Phaaze thing was made on the go. Don't get me wrong, I love Metroid, it's BY FAR my favorite game series, but this whole story does not make much sense at all.
Logs and data entries explain that Phaaze was not a planet Chozo could easily travel to as it was too far away even to them. Dark Samus took control of the whole planet by merging an Aurora Unit into it, effectively controlling the planet's core and life on it. Dark Samus is pretty much a monster born out of Phazon itself and ultimately became the face of Phazon.

Actually, Hunters takes place between Prime 1 and 2. I don't really know how to explain why, except that in Hunters, she has the gunship from Prime 1 and the suit from Prime 2, but that's the canon most people have chronologically.

Yes, phazon is wiped out wich Dark Samus aka metroid prime needs to survive. All mutated phazon creatures would die in the process. Samus got lucky the phazon didnt completely mutated her so it left her body like a small tumor.
Sylux and the other Hunters had escaped from Oubliette at the end of Prime Hunters, but Sylux harbors a strong hatred for the Galactic Federation and anyone who is associated with them which also happens to include Samus. I do wonder why he hates the Galactic Federation like this hatred he has must have to come from somewhere.

Well, i think he is right.. the first game looked stunning, the second and third where not as polished as the first.... litterally. Samus's suits was more metal like (shining/reflecting) in the other two games it was more matt. The envoirements where also a bit more blend.
This game sucked. I never beat it because I got to the powered down GF ship and realized I needed a collectible I had been ignoring to proceed through some deactivated door. After that I was like man fuck this.
Let's be honest. Samus only went back to Skytown to enjoy the music.

Actually, Hunters takes place between Prime 1 and 2. I don't really know how to explain why, except that in Hunters, she has the gunship from Prime 1 and the suit from Prime 2, but that's the canon most people have chronologically.

Sylux and the other Hunters had escaped from Oubliette at the end of Prime Hunters, but Sylux harbors a strong hatred for the Galactic Federation and anyone who is associated with them which also happens to include Samus. I do wonder why he hates the Galactic Federation like this hatred he has must have to come from somewhere.

Well, i think he is right.. the first game looked stunning, the second and third where not as polished as the first.... litterally. Samus's suits was more metal like (shining/reflecting) in the other two games it was more matt. The envoirements where also a bit more blend.

This game sucked. I never beat it because I got to the powered down GF ship and realized I needed a collectible I had been ignoring to proceed through some deactivated door. After that I was like man fuck this.
