Deobandis are also named after a village in India called ‘deoband’ - again born in British colonized india in 1800s. Similarly a large chunk of Sufis in South Asia are attached to a den of shirk called Ajmer in india! Tragically even after 75 years Islamic countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh failed to purge the toxic Indian culturalism from their societies and so they also suffer.

We did our tauba asked Allah SWT for forgiveness and put an immediate halt stop to this evil practice Alhumdhulillah Ya Rabbil Alimeen for guiding us. My beloved daddy passed away in 2021 we refused to do any khatum niaz or 40 day death anniversary and a person who is my mums friend who is a Shia-teen asked my mum why we're not doing khatum and 40 day death anniversary for my daddy. My mum said we don't believe in any of that because that was not the way of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH. She shut up and didn't utter a word ... I was just waiting for her to say something about us not following barelvies and deobandis so I could totally refute her with hujjah from Qur'an and Sunnah but she kept quiet. Brother Shamsi makes very little mistakes in Arabic, as he is an Arab. Even I sometimes makes Mistake in English. That is natural not a big deal, the cure is correct your mistake and move on.

Alhamdulilah I have memorized the Quran in a deopandi madrassa in south Africa and i was very close to the founder and the head of the madrassa mufti,who was very different from other deopandis when it came to the practices of the deen and the dealings of different people.I just wish one day I could take with me a highly knowledgeable ustaad like abdurrahman Hassan so he can chat and perhaps convince him of the dawah salafiyah. He's very old but fit. May Allah give me that opportunity. I'm editing this post to answer some questions.I chose to leave the name of the mufti and the madrassa because of many reasons. For one I don't want some people around him to lie about salafiyah. For the people who are doubting my story,all I can say is that my study was in hifz and I have an ijaza in the hafz qira,ah from the head qari of the madrassa to teach.I actually even became a hifz teacher in that madrassa for sometime.I Also had a great relationship with the qari and his younger and more connected to the salafis.

Ustaad Muhammad Tim humble was here in south Africa recently for dawah tour and I saw on my recommended TH-cam videos one of their videos targeting and blaming the ustaad for perhaps criticizing the tabligi jama,at,mind you the south African Muslims are mainly deopandis and tabligis.I thought the timing of their video was to cause the boycott of the ustaad's dawah in this deopandi and tabligi strong hold and they might have succeeded.May Allah guide them and us!

Tuko is not synonymos with salah, salad is salah. Tuko means "pray"= do it/start praying, but we say "tuko salaada". He is only reacting to them trying to be like they are better than arabs in arabic and they have bragged about how much the deobandis know the quran. It is always better to use the language of the of the Quran and the prophet when reffering to islamic rituals especially if you are bragging about how much you know it.

You can be an Imaam of Makharij (even though in reality they’re not), yet have an Aqidah so corrupt, to the extent that you leave the fold of Islam. How will this benefit an individual on Yowmul Qiyamah? Mohammed Yasir and his cohort of Jahmite’s need to realise it is a deceptive game they’re playing, they’re the equivalent of the yahood of this Ummah in their behaviour-deceptive & treacherous, majority of their Imam’s are like this. One minute talking about the greatness of Allah, the next minute lessons from the Mathnawi of Jalalhudeen Rumi, in Urdu of course, just so they don’t get exposed of their corrupt creed. As a former Deobandi from the Gujerati community (they are the most extreme in their partisanship) in the U.K., the level of ghuluw and tahazub the Imam’s of Deoband have towards to their aqabir, it’s on another level, extreme to say the least. For e.g. the masjid (Deobandi managed) I used to attend, the local Imam went to the extent of defending the belief of Wahdatul Wujood as explained by Ali Ashraf Thanvi. Defending & justifying books written Muhamad Khandalwi, particularly, ‘Faza’il E Durood’ (Virtues of Durood), filled with dua’s and anecdotes of shirk. The list is endless, when confronted and queried, no response, or in most cases, with ta’weel of what Ali Ashraf Thanvi/Muhamad Khandalwi supposedly meant by there said statements and anecdotes, even though it is quite clear, like night and day, what is written, and what is intended. Muhammad Yasir & his band of Jahmite’s complain about racism. Wallahil 3layil atheem, our ‘Desi’s’ are just as bad, sometimes worse, when it comes to bigotry against one and another, let alone towards an Arab. Come to Blackburn, Lancashire, or Bradford, Yorkshire (where Muhamad Yasir is based), and witness yourself, how ‘united’, the Muslims are within those communities, yet they want to talk about Salafi’s managing the Khilafah. How many from amongst each other will allow marriage? Let alone on the basis of Aqidah. Others like deobandi, tblighis, qutbi, ikhwani etc then you may have normal islamic relation with them as their deviance isnt like the former mentioned, yes they have corrupted ideas and misguided stuff etc but its not heretical & they dont always promote it, so yes you shouldn't attend their learning programs etc but have islamic relations with them, it is important to know this difference and balance the level of deviancy, otherwise ive seen salafis who go around praying behind barelvis & entering thier places of worship! yet the simple deobandi masses know salah isnt correct behind barelvies because of their apparent shirki beliefs & actions; The deobandi people are grounded and principled in such matters, ive been around with them so i know this although myself am salafi in beliefs & hanafi in fiqh. There is the Darussalam centre in blackburn which is the ahle hadith you may attend jumuah there, attend the programmes there etc and pray in any hanafi deobandi masjid. I use to go darussalam centre some times in duroos when sheikh abdurahman dimashqi was imam there for a short time..

If laymen, then yes, not an issue, irrespective of their aqeedah, we advise gently, treat them with dignity and not mock them, but be clear about the aqeedah and Manhaj of the Salafus Saliheen. As for the Imaams (Deobandi specifically)? Then not a chance, I know these Imaams, I’ve attended their gatherings, where they’ve clearly made statements of shirk, be whether in respect to Asma Wal Siffaat, or promoting the ideas that Nabi Salallahualayhiwasalam is alive in his grave and can aid, not to mention many other deviant beliefs. If you’ve seen Salafi’s praying behind Barelwi’s, this doesn’t mean anything. Either they’re ignorant of the fact that they’re praying behind a Barelwi Imaam, that they don’t know the ruling praying behind Barelwi’s, or that in reality they may not be Salafi? From what I’ve learnt, read and heard in respect to the manhaj of the Salafus Saliheen doesn’t necessarily collate with what you’ve stated in respect to Ikhwani’s and Deobandi’s. A laymen may not be upon clear cut shirkul akbar, but may fall into Bid’ah Mukafirah (reference to Deobandi’s specifically), as for their Imaam’s, then as stated, it’s quite clear. In respect to Ikhwani’s, with their clear errors in methodology, and their standpoint of Salafi’s, then it’s difficult. As for Darusalam, it’s not the masjid you think it is, especially in the last 5 years. It never has been Salafi masjid, all be it this is a separate discussion in respect to manhaj. Over last 5 years Ikhwani’s have took over the masjid completely, you’ll find the writings of Muhammad Khandalwi, Nabahani, Tahir Qadri etc in the masjid, lecturers who Siraj Wahhaj etc lecturing at the masjid, yes it could be worse, the admin say Qur’aan wa Sunnah, completely lacking when they go in opposition to what the Salafus Saliheen have stated in respect to matters pertaining to aqeedah and manhaj. Some members of admin came out and clearly stated ‘we aren’t Salafi and aren’t interested’. Yes I still pray at Darusalam, and try to keep a relationship with some people, others, I avoid, salaams and nothing more, especially when they praise the likes of Al Qa’eda and Anwar Awlaki. Yes these people have been advised, but you can’t force some one to listen and read the works of scholars and talibul ilm.
@@Mubin1983 islamic relations meaning such as to pray behind them, marriage relations, following the Janazah etc What you said about deoband is totally wrong/misinformed; ive been around them for long; the deobandis are taught to not pray behind barelwis & to repeat such salah if one did (ive been in their madrassas and always been taught like that), And they do not preach seeking aid from prophet(s) rather Its the barelwis and their extreme sufi likes who preach the belief that prophet is present watching(hadhir nadhir) thus can be sought for help etc. Do you not know that deobandis are takfired & labelled as wahabis by the barelwis & its founders. deobandis are even against biddahs like mawlid, they accept shah ismail shaheed & his aqidah book taqwiyatul iman. Yes some the senior founders of deoband were sufis resulting them being involved in what seems shirki stuff like what muhajir makki taught but they do taweel that its karamh etc, similarly those sufi stories in fadhail aamal are not read as aqidah but in the context of targeeb and fadhail; even those who involve in some biddah they do not allow the general public to engage in such matters except in limits (read: muhanad alal mufannad), If you see their graves generally everywhere they're levelled , neither do they go around doing urs (visiting special dargahs etc). Am not saying they are free from mistakes or have salafi aqidah, but If some deobandis are promoting shirki stuff then yeh each are to be dealt accordingly. To be balanced i mean that people can have mistakes in methodology, have some misguided aspects in practices or aqidah etc but so long it doesn't reach higher level of deviancy or reach kufr and shirk then it can be tolerated whilst nasiha be given to them and yes you do not have to seek knowledge from them in such matters, just like many ashaira imams works are even accepted. This balanced approach is vital so that we can differentiate between the levels of misguidance/guidance thus have correct islamic relations accordingly, ibn taymiyyah said something similar that you should have loyalty with muslims according to their guidance and turn away that much amounting their misguidance. Darussalm a ahle hadith/salafi masjid hosting barelwis like tahir qadri?! Really? If so this just proves my point; some salafis are quite lost, no way a deobandi masjid would ever host a barelwi to preach their beleifs and ideas in their masajids(or vice verca) because of their blatant shirki misguided beleifs, wheras they have hosted many imams from haram like sheikh sudais, shuraim, hudhayfi etc. Thats why i stress the point its crucial to differentiate the levels of deviancy, some salafis deem everyone to be deviant and then do not differentiate the levels of deviancy thus think everyone is still ahlul Qiblah and you can pray behind them! without differentiating the sects which have/promote blatant kufr and shirk. May Allah keep us on the right path and guide those who have deviated.
It’s kinda like being in taraweeh or praying sallah and correcting someone while praying we know he’s not done it intentionally but we correct them and we move on we don’t start to mock them may allah guide them inshallah.

Was Imam Bukhari not an Athari in Aqeedah, was Imam Muslim not an Athari, in Aqeedah was Imam Ibn Khuzyamah, Awzai, Abu Dawood, Darqutani, Darmi, Tirmidhi and the rest of the Ashab ul-Hadith, not Athari in there Aqeedah of course, they where there books on Aqeedah are famous. Why would you not accept the text when I quote you from As-Sunnah of Abdullah Ibn Ahmed Ibn Hanbal or from Al-Ibanna of Ibn Barr, or from Shrah-sunnah from Imam Al-barbahari or from Shrah usul al-atiqad or as-sharh al-ajjuri, where they not the muhadithseen because of them the religion was preserved. There is no difference in Aqedah between Deobandi and Barelwi. Their founders hated each other so much that it was divided into two sects named after cities.
Halwa is subcontinent thing our family used to make halwa on the day of Shab-e-Barat (15 shabban).now alhamdulillah our family is free from these things.

Muslims need to be aware that India has been the centre of bidat last 300 years: barelvis are named after a city in India called Bareilli and they were ‘born’ in the 1800s when a south Asian by the name of Ahmed Raza Khan. Deobandis are also named after a village in India called ‘deoband’ - again born in British colonized india in 1800s. Similarly a large chunk of Sufis in South Asia are attached to a den of shirk called Ajmer in india! Tragically even after 75 years Islamic countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh failed to purge the toxic Indian culturalism from their societies and so they also suffer.
That is why secularism is prevailing in these countries. As I myself is from Pakistan.

My beloved daddy passed away in 2021 we refused to do any khatum niaz or 40 day death anniversary and a person who is my mums friend who is a Shia-teen asked my mum why we're not doing khatum and 40 day death anniversary for my daddy.
My mum said we don't believe in any of that because that was not the way of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH. She shut up and didn't utter a word ... I was just waiting for her to say something about us not following barelvies and deobandis so I could totally refute her with hujjah from Qur'an and Sunnah but she kept quiet.
Wallahi Allah SWT has saved us from committing shirk and kuffr

I just wrote about my experience and where there's a majority of south Asians you'll find majority of them are barelvies deobandis sufis and qaddiyanies and quite a few Shia-teen. Parevezis are what we call Quranist Hadith rejectors and parvezis stem from Sufis just like deobandis stem off from barelvies.

Brother Shamsi makes very little mistakes in Arabic, as he is an Arab. Even I sometimes makes Mistake in English. That is natural not a big deal, the cure is correct your mistake and move on.

So Qur'an translation is blind following because the Qur'an and hadeeths are in Arabic and the translation is from one a person like a fatwa is from a person. Alhamdulilah I have memorized the Quran in a deopandi madrassa in south Africa and i was very close to the founder and the head of the madrassa mufti,who was very different from other deopandis when it came to the practices of the deen and the dealings of different people.I just wish one day I could take with me a highly knowledgeable ustaad like abdurrahman Hassan so he can chat and perhaps convince him of the dawah salafiyah. He's very old but fit. May Allah give me that opportunity. I'm editing this post to answer some questions.I chose to leave the name of the mufti and the madrassa because of many reasons. For one I don't want some people around him to lie about salafiyah. For the people who are doubting my story,all I can say is that my study was in hifz and I have an ijaza in the hafz qira,ah from the head qari of the madrassa to teach.I actually even became a hifz teacher in that madrassa for sometime.I Also had a great relationship with the qari and his younger and more connected to the salafis.

Barakallahu Feekum for this, exposing the polemics of the Deobandi’s. You can be an Imaam of Makharij (even though in reality they’re not), yet have an Aqidah so corrupt, to the extent that you leave the fold of Islam. How will this benefit an individual on Yowmul Qiyamah?
Mohammed Yasir and his cohort of Jahmite’s need to realise it is a deceptive game they’re playing, they’re the equivalent of the yahood of this Ummah in their behaviour-deceptive & treacherous, majority of their Imam’s are like this. One minute talking about the greatness of Allah, the next minute lessons from the Mathnawi of Jalalhudeen Rumi, in Urdu of course, just so they don’t get exposed of their corrupt creed.
As a former Deobandi from the Gujerati community (they are the most extreme in their partisanship) in the U.K., the level of ghuluw and tahazub the Imam’s of Deoband have towards to their aqabir, it’s on another level, extreme to say the least.
For e.g. the masjid (Deobandi managed) I used to attend, the local Imam went to the extent of defending the belief of Wahdatul Wujood as explained by Ali Ashraf Thanvi.
Defending & justifying books written Muhamad Khandalwi, particularly, ‘Faza’il E Durood’ (Virtues of Durood), filled with dua’s and anecdotes of shirk.
The list is endless, when confronted and queried, no response, or in most cases, with ta’weel of what Ali Ashraf Thanvi/Muhamad Khandalwi supposedly meant by there said statements and anecdotes, even though it is quite clear, like night and day, what is written, and what is intended.
Muhammad Yasir & his band of Jahmite’s complain about racism. Wallahil 3layil atheem, our ‘Desi’s’ are just as bad, sometimes worse, when it comes to bigotry against one and another, let alone towards an Arab.

@@Mubin1983 whoa, mashAllah! thats where ma home & where i was bought up; we live in a small world😊, yes bro there's deviant people out there but its nesseccary to balance out the level of deviancy of these sects/groups so that you know who you can keep islamic relation with: the qadiani is out of question, next shias & barelvi can be thrown in one basket; cant have islamic relations or pray behind them, talk to them only give dawah (those awam who dont believe or act upon the khurafat is another matter).
Others like deobandi, tblighis, qutbi, ikhwani etc then you may have normal islamic relation with them as their deviance isnt like the former mentioned, yes they have corrupted ideas and misguided stuff etc but its not heretical & they dont always promote it, so yes you shouldn't attend their learning programs etc but have islamic relations with them, it is important to know this difference and balance the level of deviancy, otherwise ive seen salafis who go around praying behind barelvis & entering thier places of worship! yet the simple deobandi masses know salah isnt correct behind barelvies because of their apparent shirki beliefs & actions; The deobandi people are grounded and principled in such matters, ive been around with them so i know this although myself am salafi in beliefs & hanafi in fiqh.
There is the Darussalam centre in blackburn which is the ahle hadith you may attend jumuah there, attend the programmes there etc and pray in any hanafi deobandi masjid. I use to go darussalam centre some times in duroos when sheikh abdurahman dimashqi was imam there for a short time..

If laymen, then yes, not an issue, irrespective of their aqeedah, we advise gently, treat them with dignity and not mock them, but be clear about the aqeedah and Manhaj of the Salafus Saliheen. As for the Imaams (Deobandi specifically)? Then not a chance, I know these Imaams, I’ve attended their gatherings, where they’ve clearly made statements of shirk, be whether in respect to Asma Wal Siffaat, or promoting the ideas that Nabi Salallahualayhiwasalam is alive in his grave and can aid, not to mention many other deviant beliefs.
If you’ve seen Salafi’s praying behind Barelwi’s, this doesn’t mean anything. Either they’re ignorant of the fact that they’re praying behind a Barelwi Imaam, that they don’t know the ruling praying behind Barelwi’s, or that in reality they may not be Salafi?
From what I’ve learnt, read and heard in respect to the manhaj of the Salafus Saliheen doesn’t necessarily collate with what you’ve stated in respect to Ikhwani’s and Deobandi’s.
A laymen may not be upon clear cut shirkul akbar, but may fall into Bid’ah Mukafirah (reference to Deobandi’s specifically), as for their Imaam’s, then as stated, it’s quite clear.
In respect to Ikhwani’s, with their clear errors in methodology, and their standpoint of Salafi’s, then it’s difficult.
As for Darusalam, it’s not the masjid you think it is, especially in the last 5 years. It never has been Salafi masjid, all be it this is a separate discussion in respect to manhaj.
Over last 5 years Ikhwani’s have took over the masjid completely, you’ll find the writings of Muhammad Khandalwi, Nabahani, Tahir Qadri etc in the masjid, lecturers who Siraj Wahhaj etc lecturing at the masjid, yes it could be worse, the admin say Qur’aan wa Sunnah, completely lacking when they go in opposition to what the Salafus Saliheen have stated in respect to matters pertaining to aqeedah and manhaj. Some members of admin came out and clearly stated ‘we aren’t Salafi and aren’t interested’.
Yes I still pray at Darusalam, and try to keep a relationship with some people, others, I avoid, salaams and nothing more, especially when they praise the likes of Al Qa’eda and Anwar Awlaki. Yes these people have been advised, but you can’t force some one to listen and read the works of scholars and talibul ilm.

What you said about deoband is totally wrong/misinformed; ive been around them for long; the deobandis are taught to not pray behind barelwis & to repeat such salah if one did (ive been in their madrassas and always been taught like that), And they do not preach seeking aid from prophet(s) rather Its the barelwis and their extreme sufi likes who preach the belief that prophet is present watching(hadhir nadhir) thus can be sought for help etc.
Do you not know that deobandis are takfired & labelled as wahabis by the barelwis & its founders. deobandis are even against biddahs like mawlid, they accept shah ismail shaheed & his aqidah book taqwiyatul iman.
Yes some the senior founders of deoband were sufis resulting them being involved in what seems shirki stuff like what muhajir makki taught but they do taweel that its karamh etc, similarly those sufi stories in fadhail aamal are not read as aqidah but in the context of targeeb and fadhail; even those who involve in some biddah they do not allow the general public to engage in such matters except in limits (read: muhanad alal mufannad), If you see their graves generally everywhere they're levelled , neither do they go around doing urs (visiting special dargahs etc). Am not saying they are free from mistakes or have salafi aqidah, but If some deobandis are promoting shirki stuff then yeh each are to be dealt accordingly.
To be balanced i mean that people can have mistakes in methodology, have some misguided aspects in practices or aqidah etc but so long it doesn't reach higher level of deviancy or reach kufr and shirk then it can be tolerated whilst nasiha be given to them and yes you do not have to seek knowledge from them in such matters, just like many ashaira imams works are even accepted. This balanced approach is vital so that we can differentiate between the levels of misguidance/guidance thus have correct islamic relations accordingly, ibn taymiyyah said something similar that you should have loyalty with muslims according to their guidance and turn away that much amounting their misguidance.
Darussalm a ahle hadith/salafi masjid hosting barelwis like tahir qadri?! Really? If so this just proves my point; some salafis are quite lost, no way a deobandi masjid would ever host a barelwi to preach their beleifs and ideas in their masajids(or vice verca) because of their blatant shirki misguided beleifs, wheras they have hosted many imams from haram like sheikh sudais, shuraim, hudhayfi etc.
Thats why i stress the point its crucial to differentiate the levels of deviancy, some salafis deem everyone to be deviant and then do not differentiate the levels of deviancy thus think everyone is still ahlul Qiblah and you can pray behind them! without differentiating the sects which have/promote blatant kufr and shirk.
May Allah keep us on the right path and guide those who have deviated.
It’s kinda like being in taraweeh or praying sallah and correcting someone while praying we know he’s not done it intentionally but we correct them and we move on we don’t start to mock them may allah guide them inshallah.

Was Imam Bukhari not an Athari in Aqeedah, was Imam Muslim not an Athari, in Aqeedah was Imam Ibn Khuzyamah, Awzai, Abu Dawood, Darqutani, Darmi, Tirmidhi and the rest of the Ashab ul-Hadith, not Athari in there Aqeedah of course, they where there books on Aqeedah are famous. Hence these are the Salafi books. So your premise is incorrect. Why would you not accept the text when I quote you from As-Sunnah of Abdullah Ibn Ahmed Ibn Hanbal or from Al-Ibanna of Ibn Barr, or from Shrah-sunnah from Imam Al-barbahari or from Shrah usul al-atiqad or as-sharh al-ajjuri, where they not the muhadithseen because of them the religion was preserved.
